My Avatar blog theme. What do you think?

I've decided to create a Avatar theme for my blog website. I want your thoughts on it, it's better than my socialist header I think.

Well I like them and they fit in well most of all. :D

Put a black border around the text so it's more readable. Other than that, I like it. A lot. :)

Gahhhh. Point taken. Just got to find the time and energy to do it. It's tedious the way I edit my images.

Ok, here are some comments from a web designer :P

I hope you take it in a constructive way ;)

The image itself is composed in a good way, and the more I look at the edges, the more I like them ;)

The text, however, can be improved upon greatly. First of all, it is not symmetrical in its placement - the right text is much closer to the right edge than the left text is to the left edge. You should move the left text closer to the left edge, if you intend to keep that text placement.
The text itself - the font is ok, doesn't need any changes there, really. The effects, although, are not very good. It makes the text very hard to read, and it does not look like the text fit into the image. As Vauktu said, a border or something similar would make the text much more visible. However, be careful with overdoing it - to much of a border and the text will look like it does not belong into the banner at all.

I have currently got Photoshop CS4 and a lot of free time :P If you want, I would give you some images to show you a little what I mean regarding the text ;)

Cool, do you think I could give you that header without text and you could do the words? I would really appreciate it.

Sure thing!

I'll try it right away - if it turns out it'd take more time than expected, I will do it later today ;)

Do you want me to P.M you a blank Neytiri, because I have a preset resolution that I have to use and I've got it perfect.

Sacred Tsahaylu 05-30-2010 09:46 AM

It's cool. I would go with a strip of her eyes, rather than only a portion of her face, though.
It's good that you have Eltu onboard to help because with these types of homemade blog site, when I see a poorly done job (not saying yours was) I tend ti navigate away immediately.
First impressions matter

Yeah, Eltu is brilliant. Always treated me fairly. :)

Thanks for the warm words, Spock! :)

Yes, go ahead and PM me a blank Neytiri.

(I'll leave it up to everyone to interpret as you'd like :P)
