The Human Essence Is Such A Beautiful Thing, Why Do People Reject It?
 

In my opinion this video pretty much sums up the human essense. Word of warning, it gets a little...steamy at points.;)

I love this scene, because it sums up the true nature of humanity. It embraces the most beautiful parts of us - our raw tribal nature, our interconnectedness, our love for each other and the Earth (and also the true love between Trinity and Neo, wholly giving themselves to each other). Our nature can be such a beautiful thing, why do so many reject it? Why does civilized society try to subdue the human spirit in the oh-so many ways we have so often discussed here? Why can't people accept their true nature - sensual, primal beings that are an interconnected part of nature and each other? Why can't people embrace it like the Na'vi or Zionians?

We seem to be doing a pretty good job of doing just that right here on this forum. Plenty of people embrace their human essence. Far more, however, are blinded by false prophecies and social standards that cause them to see this connection as evil or unorthodox. This is simply how things are, and it's probably how things will be, forever.

When people join for a common goal that everyone of the group can see and visualize each person of the group see's each individual as a brother/sister. But out in the world where everyone has there own objectives, plans they do what they can to fit in and get ahead.

No. Working towards a common goal would be resigning each individual to single tasks. Locked into place for the good of the whole. In essence, true group accomplishments are at the expense of freedom, for the sake of it.

Not when it allows people to see each others strengths and weaknesses. And when working in close proximity with each other it allows you time to see people for what they truly are not what they just appear to be.

That was one hell of a party.

The true nature of humanity is that we are but animals, a tad bit smarter than your average dog, but we pretend to be more than we really are.

What glorifying is there in that kind of life? It's awfully repetitive, and ultimately pointless, to exist only to keep on doing the same thing over and over again. Like an organic machine with the ability to realize how it's existence is so mundane and meaningless.

I am in love with this scene. It does express love, love between Trinity and Neo, a love for each other on the dancefloor, a love for music, and a love for the earth. This scene so reminds me of a rave, because at a rave people are so nice and friendly (even when they're off E, some people think ravers are only friendly and represent PLUR (Peace Love Unity and Respect) when they're tripping on E... not true) we all love each other, and just have fun. It does upset me people ignore it though or are just blind to it. Why do people make fun of me when I say I cry? I'm in touch with my spirit and inner soul, whats wrong with that?

We're not built to see this as beneficial though.

We are advanced sentient creatures. No more, no less.
However, when thought of in a long scale, I concur that our lives have little meaning and do little to change Humanity as a whole.

On another note, while I think of them as people no less, people on this thread who despise humanity... they disgust me. The whole point of Avatar is to wake up to the present. Not remain trapped in a rather, wonderful dream.

We are a species. What we do as 'evil' or 'demonic' is just an expression of our base instincts as animals, and our overwhelming will to survive.

Then I conclude, our prerogative should be to ascend to higher beings, through whatever means.

If that was addressed to me, I'm not sure what was it that I said to cause that kind of response.

Question: Do you despise humanity?

Out of context I'm just bluntly asking.

I am of course addressing to those who would rather support a fictional alien hostile species, completely disregarding their own. I was not directing such a message to a fellow human who at least adequately acknowledges their species.

What kind of prick would do that?
