You're right, it does look a little... funny. Especially the stripe on his right side, upper nose. Mouth looks wonderful, eyes are nice... the necklace could use a lot of work (lots more blending). The outline should also be less harsh (you can really tell with the nose), and the ear could use some more detail. These are all the major things I noticed.

Other than that, it's a pretty good sketch! What medium did you use? What paper grade?

mmhmm, I agree completely. You basically pointed out everything I didn't like and was too lazy to fix.

Bleh, I'm quite lacking when it comes to sketching equipment, I left all my good stuff in college when I left. So, basically, a normal 10p pencil and my crappy sketchbook...and a rubber. lol.
