Things you notice on repeat viewings...
 

So I just watched Avatar for 22nd time (wooo *celebrates his insanity*) and I figured I would make this topic here too, just like on avatar-forums. :)

Things I noticed today:


When the shuttle is approaching the mining site, there are these two miners and one of them appears blue as a Na'vi! :D I guess he's just black and the blue shadow is making the optics here, but I thought it was cool, I was like "what the hell is that?" :D check it out on your BD! He's more blue than here.

Another thing I noticed is rather funny, there is a Na'vi guy in the background when Jake is questioned by Mo'at, I think all he ever does is the same movement of like giving a hand to somebody on the right, he does it multiple times. First you can see him in the moment when Eytukan stops Tsu'tey from attacking Jake, he's the circled guy:

He makes that movement for the first time, now it's not apparent. But later he's all blured behind the Mo'at, when she's telling Jake about Neytiri and insanity, and he does that movement twice, it's like he's a robot programmed to do only one thing lol. :D On the last pic you can see the movement itself.

Well, I didn't notice that, I've got my own geekiness. I'm looking at jewelry.
I haven't figured out how grab a still frame off the movie yet. But what I did notice was that besides Trudy's war paint on her and her Sampson, she has two armbands in the Na'vi style. The closer arm (her left) tends to be low on the screen so it's hard to focus on that instead of her face. But it is an interesting design in circles which is an interesting coincidence given her twin rotor ship. Going to try and capture the image but it will be unlikely that I will duplicate it. It's a bit more complicated than my current ability level.
With my new computer and screen the images are much clearer and I'm able to see things I wasn't able to before.

:shock: Going to have to check that out. (handprint-found a snapshot of her attack on Quaritch...yep it's there...whoa!) I didn't really notice because she has that stick front plate on her chest. hmmmmm

Haha! Just look at the Ikran playing on the humans' building. I just noticed this.

Yeah, I noticed those. The Ikran landing on the roofs is a nice touch :)

I noticed the family Hammock underneath Jake's and Neytiri's Hammocks.

I also noticed a baby Na'vi after Hometree has been destroyed.

Oh, and that Neytiri is very cute. I don't know if anyone else caught that, it's difficult to tell. :cool:

Look how many humans are injured!

I didn't notice the Ikran but after about the fifth time watching I was kind of wondering how they all got injured. If an Ikran grabs you...you won't last long and not likely get away with a broken arm.
So... is that an indication of the Avatar humans revolting and taking a toll on the rest of them as evidenced by the two Avatars pointing weapons at the line? There's so much to this story that got left out that would have added so much more depth!

Yeah, the injured humans must be from the avatars attacking Hell's Gate :)

Patrice Maire, yeah, it's in the script, the avatars attack Hell's Gate and take over the control room at around the same time as Jake destroys Quaritch's gunship. That's why they are staying, because they sided with the Na'vi and so were accepted :)

the question remains - why did only Avatars revolt? And more importantly, why did they revolt??

ummmmm...
Because everyone in the Avatar program was there for the Na'vi and Pandora not for RDA and tearing up the planet. Also, everyone there had been under the wing of Grace and once they found out that Quaritch killed Grace..what do you think they would want to do? Especially after seeing Hometree destroyed.
I'm thinking that Ron contacted Max back at Hell's Gate after Jake took off to gather the clans and told him what was happening.
Max told them later on that Quaritch was out of control, I think it was a double front attack.

(Sorry to sound blunt, but this question falls under the 'weren't you paying attention?' category.)
