Something like what has happened to Moco really put everything into perspective.

Human No More 09-26-2011 11:32 AM

:'(

I hope she's ok... and you are too.

Pa'li Makto 09-26-2011 11:45 AM

Hmmm did you refer to me ma tsmukan?
If so irayo, but I'm fine. :) The horrible thing that happened to Moco shows just how valuable the lives of your loved ones are, and that is what is to be valued and cherished above all else. It's just made me think about how much I care about my family and everyone here. I truly hope that Moco's family and dog are okay. :( :(

Moco, do you have any insurance or funds for your house? It's not every day such a disaster happens. :S

Regarding things being put in perspective... I often try to remind myself how fragile my living is and not take things for granted, yet it seems impossible to genuinely do that. A few days ago a water main on my street broke and my house was without running water for a while; I was too accustomed to always having clean water available that I would sometimes forget my house had no water while turning on a tap. That's not what I want to be.

I kind of missed the last page and so thought I was replying directly...

I guess it goes for everyone though.

:( I find it hard sometimes as well, you never miss something that much until it's no longer there..Including access to fresh water.

God stop moving so quickly.

My problem with Miley Cyrus....she stole my first name and is using it as a last name!

Also Terra Nova further cements Stephen Lang as the man you want with you when the apocalypse comes!

:( Yup. "You don't know what you got until it's gone..."

Maybe this sounds kind of strange, but I'm always mentally preparing myself for a potential day in the future when all of my comforts are gone and I have to live a lot rougher (as if in a natural or man-made disaster). So far, I'm failing in the real-world tests.

Pa'li Makto 09-27-2011 05:58 AM

Well it's always good to mentally prepare yourself for such a day, of course many things could happen at the time when everything turns weird so you can never be completely prepared, but at least you wont be completely in shock.

I've seen an awesome Oud (similar to a lute) from Israel via Ebay for $205 with $10 shipping. Can't wait to play this around christmas time..I'd better start saving a bit. :D
