So, I just watched the first episode of "Twin Peaks". I'm a little confused, and I have no idea what to feel about, but you know what? I think I'm in love.

Farscape for life :)

I never really got into Farcape. I always preferred Stargate SG-1.

My chick is into Stargate. I just can't get into it.

Last night I watched the 2nd episode of the 2nd season of "Twin Peaks". We're getting married and having kids.

No argument there. I hope one day they will do a version of Babylon 5 with upgraded CGI but otherwise untouched like they did with Star Trek ToS.

Well, B5, Farscape, Stargate.. all are great shows :D After all Sci Fi rules anyway :D

That being said, Farscapre>Firefly>Babylon 5>Stargate/Star Trek.

ST > Firefly > B5/SG/Farscape. Farscape seems OK plot-wise but just hasn't aged well, I stopped an episode in when I tried watching it.

ST didn't have Ivanova.

Farscape has not aged well, yet Star Trek has? Ooooookay then. Season one of Farscape certainly has some hit or miss episodes, but then again, so does Star Trek. Neither show really had what you would call a "budget" for some time. By the second season, Farscape was much better off financially and the production really reflects that.

This is my "short" list of what to watch in season one.

This...yeah is pretty much all of season one besides several episodes that are just plain bad. The show burns slowly, but most of it is essential character building. If nothing else, read plot summaries for every episode save the last three. The "finale" of season one is some of the greatest television I've ever seen and introduces what is probably the best villain in science fiction.

Farscape is in my opinion timeless.. It has the exploration aspect of Star Trek but it luckily refuses to be as clean as the Star Trek Universe.

And there is no other show like Farscape which can make you laugh so hard :D

Crichton is the best frelling space adventurer of all time. His descent into insanity it just so amusing to watch. Peter Quill/Starlord certainly comes close though.

Now I want Crichton to end up on Pandora. That would be messy.

If Crichton and his friends would land on Pandora... Then the whole universe of Avatar would be in grave danger :D

I don't really like the BSG reboot. They took it and turned the drama up to 11. :D

Dramatic Sci-fi is bad how?

The only real issue BSG had was very inconsistent characterization. While it was good on the whole, several episodes have massive character derailment just to force drama. That was an issue. Lots of personalities, problems, and other elements colliding was good, it was just forcing those that caused the issues.
