Photobucket has 200+ AVATAR GIFs that I made in 2012. I posted them to AVATAR Forums. Then AF went down. Then Photobucket became a pay site. TinyPic is shutting down now. ImageShack requires you to be a paying subscriber to upload pictures. I guess there will come a day when free image hosting is a thing of the past. If video killed the radio star, then lack of free image hosting will kill the age of memes. I know there are other free image hosting sites, but so many of them change the size and quality of the images. And the average person simply can't justify paying for an image hosting service unless they have a website. It's getting to the point where you might as well create your own website. That reminds me stop spending money on unnecessary things! Everything traps you in financial difficulties these days. Most people have multiple streaming services and several other vampire bills. Netflix, Amazon Prime, Spotify, Scentbird, Dollar Shave Club, ect, ect, ect. All of that stuff adds up. It's almost as if it's designed to force you to live paycheck to paycheck. One thing you can do to trick yourself into saving money is to fake the amount of money you have in your bank account. What I do is I save up to my minimum daily balance; and for my bank that's $1,500. Then what I do after I reach the minimum daily balance is I consider the minimum daily balance $0; so if I have $1,501 it means I only have $1. I keep raising the minimum amount in my mind, and with all the math I do when I'm figuring bills. That way even if I have $5,000 in my checking account, due to my adjustments, I may only be able to use $500 before I consider it back to $0. I hope that made sense :shoop: Anyway, if you keep doing that you'll grow some money that you can then invest. It all starts with getting your spending under control. |
Imgur still exists I guess.
|
i currently use postimg.cc, free imagehost account and pics/gifs up to 12mb. :)

no problem, sir. :):hi:

Yea, I get warnings from Photobucket that I am over the image limit, but they have it set up to where you can only download an image off of it one by one, and I am not sure if that really works. So I just gave up and let them keep sending warnings,
|
i have been locked out of both my photosuckit accounts, sadly, they won't reset my password or let me do anything unless i pay their ridiculous ransom blackmail charge. i wish i could get my edits off there. *sighs*
|
If they made it easier to download images off thier site, I would have been done with them awhile back, but they are def. Shady actors.

Happy October, everyone!

Heavens. A whole month between posts and a problem partly exacerbated by my absence. Greetings friends and well wishes. How splendid it would be to see all the old members return, just for a day.
|
I find it hard to believe I've been here six years. It feels a lot shorter.
|
I share your sentiments Moonbeam. I don't know where the years have gone since I first signed up to Tree of Souls and Avatar Forums. Such is life I'm afraid.

while googling Avatar film theme paint color choices for my guest bedroom/Avatar theme room, i found some new cgi art from 2017. i posted one of the pictures and the site link in the Pandora Locations thread. the cgi art is awesome, over 20 pictures!:D

While I don't have a problem with corporations on a conceptual level as it's just a form of business, but many corporations in practice in reality are absolutely cartoonishly evil. We've been so conditioned to hear how the road to hell is paved with good intentions, we seem to have forgotten that not everyone on the road to that proverbial hell has them. Giving villains noble motives so we can better "understand" why they do what they do may make them more interesting to a movie critic, but that sidesteps the point. What does unobtanium do? Well, it's a room temperature superconductor. But Selfridge doesn't care. He's just a corporate suit who's sole motivating interest is making money. He still a human being so he might be conflicted, but that certain doesn't stop corporations in real life and it doesn't stop him either. To quote the movie Thank You For Smoking: "he's doing it for the mortgage". Maybe I'm just colored by my own bias, but despite being owned by one of the biggest corporations in the world (Disney), that to me was always the message of Avatar. It wasn't 'Noble savage good, 'Murica bad" or "Trees good, technology bad", it was to illustrate unchecked corporate power, which despite what many people think is every bit as dangerous as unchecked governmental power. |

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Or maybe neither Trump nor Hillary will be imprisoned? They are in the appropriate position for that.
|
the CHEATriots****** got sent home on a pick-6, trumpster got impeached, and there is finally new Avatar art/concepts out there! :D where is the downside here...? oh wait, is that an air raid siren?!:shock::shock:
|

Well, for me the downside is I'm going to have to slowly put more effort into trying to avoid knowing things about Avatar 2 because I want to go into the movie knowing as little as possible about it like I did the first movie and Flight of Passage. At some point I'm worried I'll have to stop posting here altogether just when it'll become more active. :( Also, if there's any place that needs to be worried about that proverbial air raid siren, it's here. |

At this point I'll take any Avatar 2 info I can get as it has been so long, but it is coming!!!! Siva ko!

Not the biggest sports person, but can't say I'm not happy that KC won the big game after 50 years.
|
I was rooting for the 49ers, but I'm glad KC won. I haven't really watched this year's Super Bowl though. I was still a little mad about last year's Half Time Show.

Anyone heard this new song in Na'vi?
Just found this song The Storm by Maisy Kay and TheFatRat? A german producer and a new singer from LA/London. Check out their video, it's really cool https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4bZRIwI-QA almost the whole song is sung in Na'vi, something I haven't really heard before.

Toy Story and Xena: Warrior Princess will both be celebrating their twenty-fifth anniversaries this year. It will also be the thirtieth anniversary of the Hesston-Goessel tornadoes.

thanks for that video! :)

There is a glyph/symbol language shown in that video that caught my eye, just pointing this out ,, thank you for sharing

An EF3 tornado ripped through Downtown Nashville in the early morning. It took an eerily similar path to the 1998 F3 tornado. Five people have been confirmed dead so far. April 16, 1998 was a day I have never forgotten. I was a high school freshman when the Nashville tornado struck on that day. The severe weather began early that morning. When I got to Overton, the teachers and principal ordered all students to shelter in the hallway. We weren't too worried. We passed the time by talking. We were given the all clear a little later and went to class. However, we were ordered back into the hallway not very long after. After a while, we were given the all clear and headed back to class. The day went on as normal. After I got home, I turned on the news and saw the weather report about the Nashville tornado. My dad didn't go to work due to the rain. My mom got off work early. We, my brother, and my grandmother went into the basement because radar-indicated rotation was over Brentwood. The storm was really bad. We stayed there for a while. Thankfully, no tornado came. We went back upstairs and proceeded with the remainder of the day.

i'd like to choke out all those selfish toilet-paper hoarders with a 36-roll pack. thanks to them there is a severe shortage of butt paper, and now more trees with suffer the ignominious fate of being human waste repositories. ugh. as if we didn't have enough problems already, i gotta see memes of dogs and toilet paper tricks because of this madness. humanity sucks.
