First time I've heard a teenager seem alright with that kind of stuff.

Eltu 03-08-2011 06:33 PM

Then this'll be the second time - I am of the same opinion as Suzie here. :P

Touché. In todays society you'll encounter the depths of the internet one way or another anyway. Although I don't see the danger talking with "older" people. Is a 50 years and a 23 year old in the same section of "old"?

Grif 03-08-2011 07:24 PM

I think it's just a worry that "older" people will encourage bad behavior

josie20 03-08-2011 11:37 PM

OT: Boring, lazy day and I have zero motivation. I guess I'll watch Avatar :P

Pa'li Makto 03-08-2011 11:41 PM

I think Universities and schools make us all print out/waste too much paper.

At mine, if you print out more than a certain number of sheets on campus, you get charged for them. :P (They're all double-sided, too.)

Grif 03-10-2011 06:00 AM

Most of my teachers seem to print double sided. My school, partially thanks to me and my friends, is trying to be more environmentally friendly. Hell we even built prototype green roofs, whose data is being used on a building that is up for LEED Platinum. May I remind you that I'm in high school.

LOVEavatar 03-10-2011 06:36 AM

Double sided ftw :D

Pa'li Makto 03-10-2011 07:37 AM

Sounds great! My university doesn't really care at all..They make us print out 30 page articles without a second thought..Luckily I print multiple pages on one sheet. :D

tm20 03-10-2011 08:29 AM

my university....is on a hill

LOVEavatar 03-10-2011 08:50 AM

Must be a good view then :D All there is around mine is firs and forest :) But that's quite nice too.

Pa'li Makto 03-10-2011 10:05 AM

Mine is on a hill as well..but it has a chapel.

Marley 03-10-2011 11:03 AM

Wow... My College is basically... On flat ground :P it's near the city centre so really that's kinda obvious it would be on flat ground. :P

Human No More 03-10-2011 10:44 PM

Mine is near the bottom of a hill, which I live up.
It's great to run down while listening to Jake's First Flight though :)

Советский меч 03-10-2011 11:08 PM

Never blow subwoofers with your windows raised up.

Pa'li Makto 03-11-2011 12:20 AM

hehehe.
On a serious note: fuuuuu!!

I like Donkey Kong 64. ;)

Grif 03-11-2011 01:08 AM

In the 1990s we had though about pocket computers. These amazingly little things would allow us to carry computers around in our pockets, I mean isn't that amazing!

Now in 2011 we complain about how our iPhones (a near Star Trek like device) are running a little slow. We fight over which one is better.

Just thought you should know...

Pourquoi suis-je parle encore français?

Human No More 03-11-2011 02:50 AM

Yes, we're in the future. We have been for about 5 years :P. We still can't get a decent tricorder with all the functions though (although there is an app for Android which does some of the functionality including scanning for signals, and magnetic sensors using the touchscreen, but it still can't do everything one could).
Also, supposedly, if someone actually does build a working tricorder, Gene Roddenberry himself said they are allowed to call it that :).

Bored at work, thinking of Avatar at the register as always :)

Pa'li Makto 03-13-2011 10:21 AM

Just watched the extended version of Avatar all the way through!!
I'm pumped for action now, or at least to see some unspoiled nature. ;)

Gotta admit, I laughed

Empty Glass 03-15-2011 06:33 AM

RT: I'm feeling really high on life right now and just want to say (though it has been said before) that if only all of us could be in the same place together for a time it would be the most joyous thing ever. I wish we could all experience each other's friendship in person. :)

Pa'li Makto 03-15-2011 07:48 AM

I agree with you! It would be such a happy day, especially if we all went camping or something.

This would be the best thing ever... If only eh? :)

Pa'li Makto 03-15-2011 08:35 AM

Yep, definitely. :D
Oh man, if only we could have a plane to ourselves so we could all meet somewhere.
