What Would You Do If...
 

This is a thread to see peoples own reactions and actions if they were in a certain situation.

I will make a new topic every 2 pages.

1st topic:

What would you do if you had complete power over a massive strategic weapons facility? E.g Heavy Artillery, Orbital weaponry, and the 4 types of WMDs?

I would run around like mad and make sure that the facility is shut down forever and that green energy takes over ;)

Predictable answer.

I would destroy it, then receive the Nobel prize for world peace and live with the money from it. ;)

I can think of maybe one good use for all that weaponry that wouldn't end up with people dying. But if somebody gave me control of all that I would either:

1. Refuse responsibility of it, and have nothing to do with it.

2. Assuming I couldn't do #1 for whatever reason, I would have all of it
dismantled, destroyed, or rendered inop.

I think #2 would be better.
If you refused responsibility, 2 things would happen:

1. They would use those weapons themselves.

2. You may be targeted for knowing too much. :shock:

With the weapons of mass destruction? :D I don't know, perhaps hitman would be better suited lol. I just imagined Dr. Nefarious from Ratchet and Clank screaming "Annihilate hiiiiiim!!!!!" :glol:

I would aim every weapon 90 degress into the air, made sure there was no prevailing wind that would change the projectiles' courses, fire them and stand from a distance smiling knowing where they'll land. ;)

I do beleive you are standing in the presence of the new supreme ruler of Earth... ;)

Depends on how powerfull the base is. If it has the most sophisticated weaponary system on the Earth I will try to use weapons for some better purpose than just detroying them imediately. I would try to play some independent role and behave like peacekeeping instance and maybe to forcing some changes on the earth for better. For example, if there are two countries trying to get into a war than, yeah, I would say okay lets fight but than I will erase both of you from the planet surface...
And first tasks, force people to get rid of the negative things like weapons, energy wasting and other and other...

Something related to this topic are nuclear weapons, reason why the "cold war" remained "cold". So not all weapons are bad. We are stupid race when it comes to greed for power and than most powerfull weapons can induce so much fear that it can be in fact posititve.
And yeah I know this idea has lot of flaws, keeping peace without actually solving the core of the problem is not ideal, however I hope still better than doing nothing.

EDIT: how to know what goals are the "right ones"? Maybe I would make advisory council from ToS people :D:D

I'd become ruler of the world and start diverting funding to research to turn it into Pandora.

Yes we haven't. No wonder, when there are tens billions $ spended in war missions and other crap, because of human stupidity :(
