Would you kill yourself, if you could come to Pandora, and live with the na'vi?

i made this Thread, to see who what have the same like me, that wants to give up earth life and get on pandora and live with the awesome na'vi :)

I would hope nobody... Dead is forever, which is a bit hard to imagine I'm sure, but still.

Dude, if you kill yourself, there won't be any Pandora. So, don't even try it.

If I were you, I'd seriously get off my mind the idea that I would wake up on Pandora after killing myself. Instead, I'd make the most of my existence here.

Um, no. If you kill yourself, you're dead. If all that religion junk turns out to be true(it's not, but IF), you're going to be tortured for eternity for killing yourself.

In short, all killing yourself will do is make you dead, which is really quite stupid, as you'll miss the sequel.

I suppose I'll be more in-depth in my response here in reasons why killing yourself would be a retarded idea.

1.] Although you seem to be experiencing hardcore PAD(a depression caused by Avatar), Avatar still gives you a source of joy, and you'll get over it eventually.

2.] Don't end the one life you have because you're wishing for something that quite frankly doesn't exist.

3.] It may not seem like it now, but there are plenty of great things to live for.

4.] If you commit suicide, you won't end up anywhere, the electrical impulses in your brain will stop, there won't be any cognitive after-death thought, and you sure as heck won't wake up on Pandora as a Na'vi.

5.] Finally, think of your parents and loved ones. I know people who have lost children(whether from the war, car accidents, or overdose) and I really have never seen anyone so unhappy.

Your "soul" is made up of electrical pulses in your brain, which cause thought. When you die, these electrical pulses stop. There is no evidence of them continuing, and there is no evidence of a soul existing. True, no one knows there's an afterlife, but that's like saying no one knows that James Cameron is really a reptilian alien bent on taking over the human race. It's possible, but we have no evidence of it and it's highly improbable.

Realistically, I wouldn't kill myself because that will leave me Earthless and Pandoraless but if there was some strange way that giving up Earth would bring to Pandora, I would take up that opportunity any day.

Note: Suicide will NOT make you a Na'vi on Pandora. Wade out the next month or two of depression and you'll soon realise that you were crazy to consider killing yourself.

Whether I'd end my life or not to live on Pandora on a Na'vi depends on several things. Would I still remember my past as a human? Would my family and friends suffer because of my disappearance?

If anyone sees any reason to open this thread again, let me know.
