Reaching Pandora.
 

This forum is kind of inactive... so here's something for fun
This is a fairly casual, humour based RP... No need to create characters or anything, just join in. We are trying to build a ship to take us to Pandora, with as many lulzy happenings as we can on the way :P

So, who's with me?

We're going to Pandora?!?! I'm so in! (I mean on board) :D

Sounds good... well, we just need... everything.

So, who knows how to build a spacecraft engine? I have some beer and a garage, let's get to work :P

I don't know anything about building spaceships. Generally about mashines :). So I guess I won't be able to help.

I don't have my own designs...how about we bug Taw Makto to get on board with us? I heard he liked Pandora, and planes (ships?) just as much.

I'm in! Do I need a shower gel on Pandora?

Hmm the ISV Venture Star used an antimatter drive to accelerate up to near lightspeed. So the question is does anyone know how to make an antimatter drive or produce antimatter? If our ship used chemical rockets we would all be dead before we arrived:P

Antimatter (as of yet) are virtually impossible to harvest and contain in huge quantities.

PET scans produce antimatter, it's also made at CERN in tiny quantities. The problem with containing Antimatter is that it can't touch anything that is matter (including air) so it'd be very expensive producing and containing it on Earth. :(

Easy enough to do, you just need a magnetic field contained within a vacuum.

Or use some duct tape. Duct tape works for anything :)

and Migg, sure, you can have the front seat, but I call the pilot's seat, and Neytiri when we get there :D

Also, judging by how much he knows about what our engine will require, I nominate Dreaming of Pandora, to be the ship's Head Engineer :P Do I have a second to agree with this motion? XD

Cool I could be like Scotty from Star Trek! :D Though I would weigh a lot (,LOT) less and I wouldn't have an imitation scottish accent. ^_^

Haha!^^ I would give to him more the captain or the cartographer job, with is astronomic knowledge he will probably know how to get us to the right place. :D
