To be fair, he didn't know what he was getting into. Most of what he was told is that the Na'vi were crimping RDA's style. You would've done the same in his position.

And about siding with the colonel in the beginning, it makes sense; Grace wasn't really being nice to him, wishing he were his brother, insulting his "jarhead" intelligence, etc. Quaritch was all like "Hey man, you do this one small thing for me and you'll be able to walk again."

Besides, that's only half the movie. :P

But harming them wasn't intentional. Jake was just providing Quaritch with intel. He didn't know he was going to have to force them to evacuate, nor how cooperative they would be.

And you can't say you wouldn't have done the same; from the outside it's a seemingly harmless espionage job in exchange for getting your legs back, your real legs.

I think he knows ofc not immediately...., "you have 3 months before dozers come " and we all know what they doing with them :P

Perhaps, but you have to remember what Quaritch actually said in the start... even 'forcing their cooperation' has bad implications.

I wouldn't have done it, even for getting the ability to walk back, although I do have next to no trust for militaries anyway. I do know myself better than that.

It's really good how Jake managed to get past that though and actually REALISED he was on the wrong side... some people wouldn't do that :)
