I just saw this on TV the other night and was surprised no one posted it yet! This is crazy, its a household fan that doesn't use fan blades, its called a Dyson Air Multiplier, and I haven't had a chance to see it yet, but wow! Check it out!

I dont get it - it says something about a motor that sucks in the air but I do not see it in the movie...

Very neat technology, but probably will wait till price comes down before I think about getting one.

Ive seen one of these at best buy! It feels so good! Its funny how you dont think about a fan that much but the difference really is noticable.

It's in the base, the air is pushed to the ring which is used to create the actual flow.

so is it completely silent?

its pretty much silent except for the fact that when its on high power you hear the wind.

Way to ruin the magic. :(

Best Buy had one on display. Very quiet and moves a ton of air, it's a neat concept.

I saw one of these at Bed Bath and Beyond, it was really cool! I was looking at it for like 5 mins and poking at it but there really isn't any blades at all, it was awsome.
