Decided to remake this thread, so all the Neytiri worshippers/adorers/lovers/priests/sacrifices can all faint :D

For the record, it was due to this idea of Neytiri purring that we started the Dreampic contest a few months ago :D

Meh, not a fan of the idea, I doubt she would. They may have a couple catlike features, but they're not cats.

I prefer the other sounds women make when they're happy.

I don't mean that in a perverted way.

Neytiri purring... oh what a thought. I would LOVE to see that in one of the sequels!

I could imagine it now... Neytiri and I alone in a hammock far away from everyone, overlooking a cliff at night staring out at the land and The giant moon reflecting on both of us, a soft warm breeze blowing across us, her head against my chest and my arms around her holding her tightly, her tail wrapped around my leg... Oooooo I think my heart just stopped... Actually I think I just died and came back to life

Just pointing out if you haven't seen yet, we've a new Dreampic Contest (Go check the Fan Art area) and of course, the jury would love to see Neytiri purr :D

We are all so good at Lucid dreaming. I think I just died and came back too.

Sounds cute but a whole clan of purring Na'vi will get very loud.

a purring cat does not necessary mean that they are happy or content! The theory is that they purr to tell other cats and humans that they mean them no harm but this is yet to be proven!

Still Neytiri purring combined with face-rubbing that cats do would be cute. :)

Hell no.

First of all, although they have catlike features, let me point out that they're not cats, nor are they related. They don't purr, and if someone wants to bring up the whole hissing thing, humans(apes, really) make similar noises when angered.

Also, purring puts them damn close to furries, which I despise.

Neytiri draped her slender leg over her pitched hammock, her head bowed down her braided hair flowing in the subtle breeze. He neck, elegant and slender briefy kissed the warm air, she coiled up, purring softly to herself, the vibrations pulsating her hammock, swinging it gently side to side :P
