Inconsistency in Neytiri's fangs?

It looks a bit like Neytiri's fangs vary in length depending on the scene of the movie. In some scenes, her fangs seem longer than in some other scenes? Did anyone else notice that? Is this a rendering flaw or just perspective and view angle?

The size of her fangs may appear differently in various scenes due to the lighting and the position of her head.

Anyone wants to post a series of pictures of her fangs? She looks cute when she's aggressive and we can enjoy those pictures while analyzing. :P

Coming right up. :D

^ It could be just angle of perspective but her fangs in pic#1 look sharper than #2.

It seems to me like the only rendering differences are clothing, hair style, and warpaint (and blood). Her physique and face looks identical in all of the models. Strangely, the sharpness of her teeth seem to change in the same scene, within minutes. :S

I'm actually curious about how they actually rendered the movie. Does they use a graphics engine and physics engine? I'm not very familiar with such techniques.

I actually think it's due to the mood of the setting. I agree partially with Vaktu on how most of the differences are probably lighting and camera angle, but some pictures show the obviousness of some sort of change in length/sharpness.

You've got scenes of great intensity and rage:

But then you've got more tender, layed-back moments:

Lol 2nd pic looks like she's high on something. :D

Maybe she is like a snake; when she hisses, the fangs extend out and get sharper. :P

It's quite interesting...I also like how her ears fold down when she's pissed.

...Once the ears come down on any animal....don't mess with 'em...

Now, I'm no expert, but I don't think teeth can change their shape.

Woodsprite 07-30-2010 06:01 AM

...Unless of course you're one of Dracula's flying vampire brides from Van Helsing.

Just seems like perspective to me... I can see them in all of those images, the only one where they are really less visible is
