He sounds like the kind of guy that look awsome on paper but when you meet him in real life he is a complete a-hole.

Hes rich, powerfull, has a hot wife, has his own fighter jet, has his own spaceship, and he co owns the car company tesla. Why would he need to be nice? But Ive never met him.

Because he has everything that he could ever want so he has no need to be nice to those 'below' him. In case you avent noticed, thats just the way people are.

True, but theres a reason we are judging him like that. We arent assuming hes an a-hole for no reason. Our judgment is based off of the fact that people are generally a-holes.

Rich people bieng stuck up a$$holes isnt a stereotype when 99% of them are. Not just rich people, I dont know where you have been but if you would open your eyes and take a good look at the world, you will see that people are all just a bunch of jerks (with the excpetion of ToS members). I have never met Saddam Hussein but I think he was an evil horrible man.

Besides being successful. Being successful means he won life, not that he's a terrible person.

See, I don't do that. I don't make judgments on humanity as a whole, just the humanity I come in contact with. :P

Besides, who says the the most vocal aren't also the majority? You're making an assumption that the two to not coincide. I don't know what things are like where you live. But where I live, people are just...well...they're just ****ing horrible. (not an assumption, something I've actually observed and experienced personally and on a daily basis)

Then you need to meet some better people.


As a general rule, most people are incredibly caring about people within their little bubble of the world. There are exceptions, but very few people go out of their way to make others miserable. They do what they think is right, and if it messes with what you think is right, they're not going to change just to please you.

I find the stuck up rich A-holes to be the ones who where born into money or very easily found money like some of the people in the music industry and other areas.

The ones who arent stuck up in my experience are sometimes the ones who have worked really hard for their money coming from the bottom up.

Im not comparing him to saddam hussein. You said you dont know him so you will just play it safe and say that you dont have a clue about what hes like. I dont know saddam hussein but Im positive that he is evil because he is a dictator, and dictators are evil. Just like Rich People are a-holes. I have no idea how where you got the idea that I said all succesfull people are bad so thats a bit weird. I said rich, not succesful. Rich people 99% of the time are a$$holes. People on the internet 80% of the time are a$$holes. Big business owners are 99.9% of the time a$$holes. This guy got rich off of the internet and bieng the owner of a big company. Therefore there is a 99-100% chance that he is an a$$hole. In todays world you cant assume people are nice, you have to assume people are mean with the small chance of them bieng nice. You would have to be living under a rock to not see this.

I agree with you. This guy made it big off of the internet and co owning tesla. That doesnt sound like hard work to me. Now if that mindless report said that he grew up in poverty off of welfare checks. That he made it from rags to riches I would have a different opinion of him.

Anyway, the person I'm jealous of(which was the original intent of this thread...right?).

To be honest, I can't think of anyone I'm jealous of. I'm content with my life the way it is now. As far as the life I want to have, that's something I'm working to achieve.

I'm not jealous of rich people. I don't need money or things to be happy.
I'm not jealous of men with beautiful wives/girlfriends. I may feel alone at times, but I'm waiting for true love(yes, I really do believe in such a thing. I know some people don't). Patience is a virtue.

So yeah...I'm not jealous of anyone. I wouldn't trade my life for any other. :)

It doesn't matter that it's from the Bible. It's still a good principle to live by. There is still a little part of me that believes most people are good. I just get overwhelmed by all the bad sometimes. I see how good this earth can be, then I realize how bad it is, and this is very damaging to me. If people would just forget their petty differences, lay aside their arrogance and just be nice to each other...well...this world would be a much better place.

I try to think everyone is good.....except politicians! XD

Family is good friends with a guy in politics and when at one point he was thinking about trying to move up you really see how dirty they play and they are willing to do whatever to get higher power!

Sadly there are many many extremily wealthy people in the world. However, those good men/women are not only overshadowed by the bad but are usually the ones who go unnoticed. :/

I don't hold with any religion either. However, the bible was written as a guideline to living life. There are some real gems in there. Dismissing it as "mumbo jumbo" isn't helping your case.

You said in an earlier post the people around you are ****ing bad.Thats judging. Are you bieng a hypocrite?

1. As I also posted (the one you quoted BTW) I just get overwhelmed sometimes. There is still part of me that believes people are good. I just focus too much on the bad and get carried away with it sometimes. I wasn't judging all people. *see #2*

2. I was speaking based on personal experiences and observations and only about people I actually come in contact with (unlike you), which I also stated. Therefore, I was speaking fact(at best, opinion at worst), not rash judgment(again, unlike you). You could even go so far as to say it was scientific in method to come to such a conclusion about the people around me. Therefore, it is a conclusion, not a judgment(not in the biblical sense, anyway).

3. I said it was a good principle to live by. I never said I live by it. Even if I did make such a claim(which I did not), neither did I claim to be perfect. Thus, any such errors in my character are justified by my lack of claiming perfection.

Therefore, neither was it a judgment nor am I a hypocrite.

What a strange thread this is turning out to be.
