Tickets booked for Avatar SE - Yay!
 

Well, I've gone and done it. I had an email come through from the IMAX saying they were taking bookings for Avatar SE and I got so excited I went and booked a ticket.

So if anyone is going to the 15:15 showing of Avatar SE at Birmingham's IMAX cinema on 27th August, I'll see you there - wearing my Avatar T-shirt of course.

That's great -- I'm happy for you! And I wish I could join you...too bad England isn't closer to New Jersey, USA.
Anyway, I want to book my ticket(s) as soon as I can, but I'm still waiting to hear from any fellow Avatarans in the NY/NJ area who'd like to have a meet-up to see the Re-release.

Yes, shame. Still hope you get to meet up with some Avatarians in your neck of the woods.;)

Yer know it's at times like this you just wish they had invented a Star Trek transporter. Then we could all just decend onto the biggest IMAX and get our Avatar fix together!

Ah, sorry Xynth. Yeah, SE = Special Edition. Surely Avatar will be coming out again in Sweden?

The problem is that we still have Avatar in cinemas in 3d in some cities here in Sweden, so SF (The company that has a pretty much monopoly of cinemas in Sweden) might figure they won't benefit from re-releasing.

So I guess I'll just have to wait and see...

I called a local theatre and the manager hadnt heard of the new avatar re-release. :s
I wish I had an imax here.
I wish I had an Avatar tee-shirt.
I wish I had someone who would see it with me.

I don't know what I'm doing by the release date, expecting some surgery in the next few weeks. Don't have a t shirt but I WILL be seeing this movie in Imax.

Maybe he might change his mind if you told him there was a bit of money to be made out of it!

Afraid I can't help you with and IMAX or come over to go to the flicks with you. However,....T-Shirts migth be another matter. Click on the link below. This is where I got mine from. There are probably other outlets. All I did was put 'Avatar T-Shirts' into the internet and a shed load of results came up. Hope it helps:

Nice, I need to book mine... I'm probably going for the midnight screening :)

I'll be in London though.

I did ponder the midnight screening in Brum, but coming out the IMAX at 03:00 with not really anything to do for another 3 hours until I could catch the train home put me off a little. Plus I would be on my own.

Still, you have a great time. You'll have to let us know how many went - or better still get a piccie! :)
