VG Music/Chiptunes!
 

This a thread for remixed videogame music and chiptunes.

For those who do not know, chiptunes is a branch of music made by taking the audio chipsets from old videogame consoles such as the NES/Famicom and the Gameboy and using them to make music. There are pure chiptunes, but most chiptune music is mixed with trance, industrial, and techno.

While some people may consider music from videogames to not be "real" music, if you look into how most of it was made, especially for the games that can utilize it well, it is real music and can easily be remixed into vrious genres of music such as techno, trance, rock, industrial, house, metal, and more.

Anyway, here are some of my favorites:

Dirt Devil: Remix of "Devil's Lab" from Final Fantasy 6







Chemixtrixx: Remix of "Chemical Plant Zone" from Sonic the Hedgehog 2







Bottled Metro: Remix of "Metropolis Zone" and "Hydrocity Zone Act II" from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and 3 (respectively)







Spacefarer: An (almost) pure chiptune based on the NES audio chipset:
