Hey all.
New here man! i'm 28 years old and a major Sci-i/horror/fantasy/animation/action/movie fanatic who lives in the town of Rio Grande which is just by the city of Albuquerque here in New Mexico. I also love traveling as well mainly to California, Nevada or Flordia but sometimes to Chicago, Detriot or New York over the years.
I have a job on fridays, saturdays, tuesdays and wensdays from 9 till 4:00. I also like sports, babes and fun. I've been an Avatar fan since opening day as i saw it about 13 times five in 2D while others in 3D, one of the best movie experiences of my life. |

A new person?!
welcome Harry :) |
hey dude, finally decided to come here as well i see :)
Maybe this forum needs some advertising in Sci-fi forums, Avatar forums and James CameronOneline forums.
Nah.
Advertising would just make us look bad, and we have it fine as it is. There is no need to get more members just for the sake of it. ;) If more people want to come here, they are welcomed. But there is no reason to actively fight for a higher number of members. :) |
Hey Harry, hope you have a great time here! Welcome to our family. :)
Welcome to the family brother!
Welcome to the forums. :)
These tree of souls people are crazy! They feel homesick for a world they've never been to, a place that doesn't exist! They love a girl that isn't real!
But so do I.:embarrassed: |

Kaltxi, and welcome :D
Eltu is right about advertising... Just going somewhere to post a link is bad, and we don't want that (plus it causes negative repercussions really and doesn't generally gain any real members), but there's nothing at all wrong with mentioning ToS or linking to threads etc if it comes up... don't think we said not to mention ToS at all :) |
How about on the James Cameron Forum at the Avatar section? then we get more members
...and why do we need more members?
So it can be a popular forum.
...and why does it need that?
Well ok advertising is a bad idea.
:P
Well, I'm just saying - we have all we need right now. There is no need for ToS to be "popular" or to get a lot of members, just for the sake of it. |
I'm personally fine with the way ToS is and has been. :)
I have no problem if it's a choice between growth or stagnating, but we just need to remember what makes us unique, and I agree there is no real point in growing for it's own sake.
Popularity isn't necessarily a good thing. Think of the difference between a large public university with thousands of students, and a smaller, private college. Sure, there are more people in the big school, but small colleges allows for greater cohesion and deeper sense of friendship. Kinda like a well populated suburb and a large city like San Francisco or Manhattan. I would take the small college or the suburb, although big places are certainly fun sometimes (that's what Avatar-Forums.com is for ;)).
