Got Norm?
 

Lets not forget Norm. As much as i love Jake, i do have a softspot for Norm. I dont know why, but i just really like him.

Norm's great really. What he did was certainly impressive too, he obviously never had much contact with the Na'vi, but still fought for them in the end (and managed to ride a direhorse too, which Jake showed was not easy)

Got to feel sorry for him though, with Jake turning up and getting all the attention :P

Norm obviously had more practice on a Direhorse. Jake's a natural on a Banshee though :) Think Norm could fly a Banshee?

Norm is one of the few 'outsiders' (other than Jake and by default, Grace) that got to go to the Tree of Souls.
He was there when Jake did the rallying call to the clan so he was right behind him all the way. Wonder where Trudy was?
I'm trying to do a fill scene between when Jake jumps on Toruk and then... where does Norm go? Back to the module and fill Trudy in?
It's also sad that Norm doesn't have an Avatar anymore. But as far as Jake is concerned, he's one of the clan.

I see myself in Norm in so many ways...

I do feel bad for Norm. Here's this guy who was hand-picked out of hundreds of applicants, studied for years to become the "fresh new face" to present to the Na'vi as ambassador, so he's got all these expectations and hopes (and to some extent, pride, like "Hey, you're the guy who's going to repair relations with the Na'vi!") resting on him... and then this dumb*** guy who just casually joins up because it sounded like a good idea who knows nothing about the program, Pandora, or the Na'vi, pretty much stumbles upon the Omoticaya and is immediately accepted into the village and becomes the hero of the program and the rda (well, at least until later, lol). Yeah, I'd be a little bitter :/.

But he rallies around Jake after Grace dies. He just saw his hero be killed by humans, he's all the way behind Jake if he wasn't before. I think he might be a pivotal character in the next movie.

Of course, I was talking only about the beginning of the movie.

That is a great cap. The lighting on his skin is amazing! I love the lighting in this movie *heavy sigh*. The random bits of grass or whatever is cool too. Norm is damn brave, gotta give him that. Definitely not just a useless, wussy science geek, but he'll fight when his friends need him too :).
