Modern Warfare 1 and 2 players?

Any MW1 or MW2 players welcome here.

AC130 has Xbox Live (I'm not sure if it expired, he hasn't played for two months), but I don't. In any case, what platform do you play on?

I play it on PC. Me Dad doesn't like Xbox live. :(

My Xbox Live Gold has indeed expired. I never really liked Modern Warfare 2. The game mechanics are too easy for incompetent players to exploit and rampage the game, not to mention that the assault rifles are too powerful to begin with. Call of Duty 4 was one of the best shooters I've ever played. Of course, now with all the college prep material I have, I don't have any time to play games (and no, I wouldn't let MimeticForger use my account; I doubt his gaming ability). It's hard enough for me to stay on TOS for an extended amount of time tonight. :/

360, still an avid CoD4 player. MW2 was absolute garbage online.

I played both, I'm currently playing MW2 on Xbox Live...I hate MW2. I would get MW1 for the PC, if I had any money, but right now I'm saving for Halo Reach.

Reeeeeach... Now that will be an online FPS to remember.

I was so excited for MW2 before it came out. 3 months went by...now I hate it.

Black Ops better not ruin it. But judging by the trailer it looked sick...then again looks don't matter, its mechanics.

Sometimes I can hear AC130 shouting in anger when playing Modern Warfare 2, so I'm assuming the online multiplayer isn't too enjoyable. He was looking forward to Call of Duty: Black Ops, but he said that from the new video, it looked no different from Modern Warfare 2.

I dont have the game myself but I played it for a week with friends. Im particularly good with a sniper (as I've been told) and lethal with semtex. Haven't been online nor will I be buying the game (dont have the munyz)

Aihwa, how can you say MWII is no good online?
It is as good, if not better than MW in my opinion.
Is it the different way that points are scored? Like +50 for Long Distance Kills?

Biggest frustration I have is that the weapons are too easy to use. Assault rifles like the SCAR-H have ridiculously low recoil. In real life, it fires the 7.62 mm NATO, so I don't understand how the gun can have so little kick. This makes the game too easy for the players, and it makes trigger reflexes more important than tactics, something I really don't like.

Too many overpowered weapon combinations, the thumper/scavenger is ****ing ridiculous. Multiplayer is filled with hackers and 12 year olds shouting obscenities into their mic's. Then there's the 15$ map pack that adds 2 maps from the FIRST GOD DAMNED GAME and one new (ish) map.


CoD4 has more players, they tend to be more mature, and I enjoy spending time playing that, while playing MW2 is like dragging my nails across a chalkboard.

Hmm. Now I don't have to buy MW2! :D

It seems no matter what time it is, there's always people on MW1.
What rank are you guys? I started playing online on MW about 2 months ago, playing on and off.

I'm now rank 35. A few more promotions, and I get the G36. :D

I probably won't be playing for a loooong time, but I am 4th prestige level 55 on CoD4, level 50ish on MW2.

On the bright side, MW2's Spec Ops is very fun. MimeticForger and I had a great time completing those challenges on veteran difficulty.
