The Avatar Fan Art of La'ri... ^^
Hello :) I like it, to avatarize some persons (Mostly prominents) and now I will show you some of my work!
My newest avatarization ^^ Perhaps, you can give me some tips, to become better... http://up.picr.de/5100939.jpg |
First of all, really, really cute! :D
It looks awesome, however, there are some details that could be improved. Some tips: - Make the stripes smoother, more AA - right now they look too pixelated. - The nose should be wider - the eyes are too blurry compared to the rest of the face Other than that, awesome work! :) |
Thank you very much :) ... also, for your tips! I will account for it, for the next time.
I've tried to make the eyes more clearly. Does it looks better, now? (See above) Besides, I have the feeling, that the Na'vi is cross-eyed :D But she peered on the original, aswell ^^ You are right with the critic of the nose and the stripes. But I was to stupid to advance it... I will account for it, for the next time :) Here is annother avatarization. But it is already older... http://up.picr.de/5089139.jpg |
So Pretty! :D
Kind of makes you want to get up and give her a big warm furry hug! |
|
Very nice, the stripes on the bottom of the face are excellent, the ones on top are a bit of a sharp contrast.
I like it though! :D |
Woah! Nice work, that takes some doing :)
|
That latest looks like a framiliar cat I know...
http://www.mtv.com/movies/photos/a/a...wonderland.jpg hmm |
Thanks :) :)
Apollo: Haha xD Yes, you're right :D Here is a new one: http://up.picr.de/5237977.jpg |
Very nice work! :D :D
|
Beautiful and great work indeed!

This one is your best yet, I think :)
The markings look a lot more blended with the skin and the hair looks like it was part of the original photo :) |
Thanks =)
Now, I want to show you my first 3D Animation. I know... The video ist VERY short, but I'm proud of it, anyway. I hope, you like it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rf09xmbdGUU |
Nice one... 3D animation is something I don't really know anything about.
|
Thanks.
I changed me and my sister into a Na'vi. My sister: http://up.picr.de/6939113jlp.jpg And me: http://up.picr.de/6944611hmv.jpg I also changed other pictures, but I decided to show you only fotos, where the copyright belongs to me, anymore. Even, I'm afraid to breach any rights, if I work with strange pictures. |
Ohh, those are beautiful!
It's surely better than anything I could ever accomplish - I salute your Na'vi-transformation skills! :D |
Oh. Thank you very much :)
I'm very pleased about your comment and that you like the avatarizations :) That motivates me =) The next two pictures don't deal with Avatar but with Inception and Shutter Island. I want to adjust the pictures of the movies ^^ "Shutter Island" (and accordingly Isola del Giglio in Italy. I was there because of a graduation trip) http://up.picr.de/7043355meb.jpg My Inception gyro. I love it :D http://up.picr.de/7043354eui.jpg |
hey noticed your 3D animation, if thats youre first then you did a very good job!
Like the char also! Animation is alot harder then people might think. We all see moving things all the time and our brains seem to automatically detect any flaws :P Good to practice walkcycles tho, harder then you might think, i still struggle with em. In the moving animation it seemed to float a bit, did you use IK or FK on the legs? Would recommend inverse kinematics on the legs. Also gj on the photoshops, really getting better with each one. |

@fierox: Thank you very much =) For the compliment and for the critic.
Yes, it was my first try to work with 3D-modeling and animation. Because of this, I was very happy when I read your comment :) Sorry for the stupid question, but I don't know... What do you mean with IK or FK? When I unterstand its meaning, I will follow your tips :) @ShellyFayexo: :) I think, the best elements on this picture are Neytiris eyes :D Yesterday, I started to work with Maya again :) (because of school leaving examination, I did a pause about several weeks/ months) I know... This Ice-Cream is boring, mingy and very basic, but I think, it's a beginning :) The Ice-Cream at the youtube-tutorial looks the same way and because of this, I am happy with my solution. http://up.picr.de/7077578wbp.jpg |
Hey nice icecream, looks like it melted a little since the last version you showed :P
Youre right, when you start with 3D the software is somewhat overwhelming with all the menu's and complicated interface. Getting to know the interface and basics tools can be boring even. But if you can bite through that things will get more interesting and soon youre creating stuff! Good to see you got the component mode working to modify a normal sphere! Thats where the fun part comes in :) |

You're right... To learn the basics is boring. Currently I'm unmotivated to work with Maya :( But I want to show a new picture editing :) I hope, you like it ;) http://up.picr.de/7379684wyu.jpg The Copyright of the Original belongs to the fotograph "PSI". Because of this, the picture editing is copyrighted material, also! |
Yeah maya can be boring, its hard work aswell. You are pretty far already tho!
Youre new picture looks great, the softness of her face looks great with the big yellow eyes. My only tip would be to place her ear a bit deeper in if you know what i mean and be carefull you dont smear out too much detail away. Just details tho, great photoshopping skills! Ever tried painting from scratch? Yeah copyright is a tricky thing, specially in this digital age. Got both good and bad's to it i guess. |
Thanks for your comment and your tips ;)

No, I never tried painting from scratch. I worked with Maya again. Tutorials are very helpful, I found out =o))!! Yes: It is mingy and unspectacular, but better than the Ice-Cream I hope and think :) http://up.picr.de/7529464pgq.jpg Cocktail-glasses! |
Really nice looking render of those cocktail glasses, too bad there empty :P
Made with nurbs i guess? |
Thanks :) Yes, with nurbs... sry, that my answer comes so late, I wasn't here for a long time...
Right now I'm in New Zealand... Here are SO many things which remind me to Avatar, I love it sooo much :) :) This is Pandora on earth ♥ |
You brought this to the top of Fan Art and this is the first time I've seen it. Badass! :D
|
don't know why but i like the ice cream :xD:
|
I like the cups, it has a nice 3D effect. ;)
|
I like it all :D As always, I hope to start working with 3D soon.
|
Thanks :) I hope, I can continue my 2- and 3D working in nz, soon... I can't waaait :D
|
hey guys...
after a long time, I wanna show u a new picture manipulation. Hope, u like it. I know, its not perfect yet, but I work on it ;) http://up.picr.de/9210559jhq.jpg http://up.picr.de/9210560chc.jpg |
Is it really that bad? :D lol
|
It alot harder then it seems to mix images into a believing new one.
Especially hard with faces, people are programmed to recognise a face and although people often cant tell whats wrong most people will see that something is off. I like the second one, hard for me to say in english but the first has too much contrast. It works way better in the second image. Oh and be carefull with the smudge tool, you used it too much in the nose region, be subtle. Good work tho (nice photoshopping skills), i like the picture! Oh and btw, you use a mouse or a pen? If you like to do graphics work digitally, i would recommend trying a wacom! Have to ask tho, whats with the different colored eyes? And its the other way around in your signature :P |
Quote:
Because of the eyes... Oops, I did'nt notice that's the other way around in my signature :D Haha They are different coloured, because I do some Role Play Games in a german Avatar forum, and my character has these kind of eyes :) Here is another picture, I worked the last 2 days on it... http://up.picr.de/10091060dt.jpg |
Looking pretty good. Nice photoshopping.
If you are looking for improvement tips towards "realistic"; then perhaps a little less contrast in all aspects. The colors could be a little more muted, the the shapes a tad less vivid, perhaps? A wacom is a digital drawing tablet: http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/image...etwithhand.jpg Also available as/with built in screens: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_zS9W1siE5T...tiq-771814.jpg - Mikko |
I like the detail on the eyes :)
