Fantastic movie! I loved it. Well done everyone, it was really something special.

Wish I could have gotten more involved. I feel sorry for repeatedly saying "Oh this weekend I'll film something", but reality was I was on busy bee this summer. Still, I should have found time. Either way, great job to all of you again. Cheers!

Really really fantastic :)

:hi: Hi there stranger!

Alan 09-19-2010 09:11 AM

Hey kaltxi Caveman! Long time no chin wag! Great to hear from you tsmukan. Irayo for you post.

No worries matey. I know you had good intensions of getting invloved, but sometimes life just doesn't allow it. During the 3 months doing our community film I ended up not having enough time to keep up with the chat on the forums, which I really missed.

Anyway, you never know we might do another one sometime.

Hey you didn't run 70 miles in one go did you? Most people catch a bus or train yer know :xD:

Take care my friend,

Alan

Irayo Migg.:hi: Lets hope that it does help to open peoples eye's and hearts to 'our Mother Earth'. But as we have said in the 'making of' video, if it changes just one person, then it will have been worth it.

Kaltxi folks,

Below is a message from Unil Makto, the guy from AF who has authored the iPhone/iPod app for our Avatar Communities Film Project. We really need to give Unil a pat on the back for all his hard work on this. It really has been the icing on the cake for our project:
___________________________________
"Kaltxi guys,
as you may or may not know the app for our film project has been released (4 days now!), just thought I'd drop a post to officially cut the ribbon and to answer any questions you may have (was on a work trip so I wasn't able to post this earlier). But before I do so I would once again like to thank you all for the time and effort you've put in to this project and to Alan for coming up with his "wacky idea" in the first place! Was a pleasure working with you all and I hope we get a chance to do it again! http://www.avatar-forums.com/images/...ilies/good.png

So FAQ section:

Where can I find the app?
The app is available across all iTunes stores, you need a valid account to download it. Simply search for: OurOnlyHome, or use the direct link: OurOnlyHome for iPhone and iPod touch on the iTunes App Store

How much does the app cost?
100 billion dollars!!!!
http://blogs.ajc.com/iceman-thrasher...02/dr-evil.jpg
No? OK, just kidding the app is FREE of course.

What do I need to run the app?
A device running iOS 4.0.1 or above, i.e. your iPhone or iPod touch.

What about iOS 3.2.x? (the iPad).
http://www.avatar-forums.com/images/...ilies/wink.png I have a sneaky suspicion that something is coming up very shortly.

How many people are using it at the moment?
Just got the updated download metrics: 4 days - 198 users (+1 Alan is downloading it at the moment :nsmile)

120 users from the US
20 users from the UK
23 users from Australia
12 from Japan
3 from Thailand
21 from across Europe (predominately France & Germany).

Well that's all I have for now. Our project is certainly getting some good exposure! I'll keep you posted. If you have any questions, just shout! http://www.avatar-forums.com/images/...lies/rotfl.gif Kiyevame! "

So there you go. The last piece of our film project jigsaw puzzle has been putting a podcast onto iTune of our film. As of last night, this too has been completed and can be viewed by clicking here:

Our Only Home Podcast

Also just so you know, I have also send a few copies of our film to Lightstorm Entertainment (James Cameron's film company). I would be surprised if we get a reply and they must have a shed load of fan mail. But we hope they take it as a huge compliment that their film has inspired us to do something ourselves. If we do hear anything, we'll let you all know.

In the mean time Eywa ngahu,

Alan

Afraid I don't know. Originally we were just going to be doing a film. But then one of our gang step upto the mark and set to on an app with the skills that they were able to share. So I don't know if we will be able to do an android version. I've asked though.

Kaltxi Gunny,

Yeah, Unil Makto has quite a sense of humour. We've had some laughs together. Yeah I downloaded the app too - first one I down loaded onto my new toy...err...I mean phone..it is a phone as well isn't it :D

Yeah hopefully you should get your DVD soon. I know four folks who have got them, so hopefully the rest of you should be getting them soon. They were all posted at the same time.

Kiyevame,

Alan

Hey, never mind Electroshpere. You never know we might well have a go at another one in due course. I know some of the gang would like to have another go.

Stay tuned my friend....

Don't know about a sequel. But something along similar lines maybe...or perhaps completely different...maybe a 'story' film next time...just thoughts at the moment...

Alan

Just saw that, I'm really-really impressed about what you guys really did. It was stunning to watch that, it's between the first awesome and interactive initiatives I've ever seen. Congrats, and I hope we and you will change the hearts of 7 billion people through that, it should be done something about the situation of the environment, eventhough Eywa made her future plan for us...
