Just going to have to read the book. I don't have a blu ray player nor a tv/computer that would work with it.
But my daughter does!

I would like the extra 16 minutes, but 45 minutes of virtual camera footage? It's going to be hard to watch.

Are the 45 mins polished work or is it raw footage?

It's raw. He said there'd be "45 minutes of deleted, unfinished footage" on the release, which probably means you'll be able to watch it, but not included with the rest of the film (like a special feature on a DVD/Blu-Ray as "Deleted Scenes").

If it's unfinished material... meh. Not too excited.

You think about it... and what if some of that unfinished material is wireframe footage of Neytiri? Wouldn't that sort of ruin it for anyone? :S

I'll be satisfied with the SE version on regular dvd as long as I get the novel and read all the OTHER scenes that he didn't even film.

might be a stupid question, but will the DVD collectors edition have the 45 minutes too and all the other goodies? it should right?

I don't know for certain, but logically I'd say so... wouldn't really make sense to leave those out...
