(Torch's are gonna be made so that they burn out after some time in a future Minecrack update... Which is why I'm using alternative ways to get light)

The future update will include lanterns which don't, and any already placed torches will be converted into them, IIRC.

That said, recently I made a magma-fall which is a tower going up to the height limit with magma running down the sides, which I then surrounded with glass. It looks epic :)

Also, for finding diamond/redstone, try a map viewer :)

After a while you run out of things to do in Minecraft. This happens usually when you find diamond and built all that you want to build. I've been modding Minecraft over the past few days and I recommend that everybody get these two mods, they will seriously bring back the enjoyment of the game, while improving its looks.

MUST GET. This brings Minecraft to life! Not only are there ogres, wolves, ghosts, lions, boars, werewolves (new standalone feature) added to the game's "Baddies", there are also new additions such as horses (and winged horses, appropiately named "Pegasus"), birds, bears and rabbits.

Also, animals do interact with each other; as you would see a bear, strangely enough attack a bunny rabbit, or a pride of lions eating a boar.

Really? Your world must be huge! I've only ever reached 3000 blocks on my z-axis. :P

Anyway, I assume you mean y-axis. x:north/south, y:top/bottom, z:east/west.

My tallest creation is a 7x10 hole from sea level to bedrock...

Somebody needs to set up a ToS minecraft server :P
