Neytiri's personality.... How to describe it. She has incredible passion for all things natural but her spirituality is what is strongest, I think. You see this constantly, from the atokirina that first landed on her arrow to the time when she showed Jake the viperwolf cubs to the time they flew over the Tree of Souls.
Her belief that 'all energy is only borrowed and one day has to be returned' is astounding. It allows her to be a hunter and not feel guilty, yet she does feel guilty as can be seen when she has to save Jake from the viperwolves. This guilt is innocence in it's purest form (as paradoxical as that sounds, it is true), even the death of an inconsequential creature disturbs her. Everything is precious.
Not only is there this massively spiritual side to her, but there is the passion. She is passionate about her people and her hunting (things like the risks she takes just while travelling through the woods - jumping from the branch on to the big leaves), you can see it through her actions, but most of all in her training of Jake. She is passionate about this because she can see a way to make the skypeople understand them more. She grudgingly takes up the task assigned but after a while she realises that if she teaches Jake how to See like a Na'vi then perhaps the skypeople, through him, will understand them better. This want to make the skypeople understand eventually blossoms into more, feelings for Jake.
Along with this is a little bit of playfulness :P
This is seen when she and Jake are flying alongside Tsu'tey and the other new hunters. Jake moves his ikran closer to Neytiri's and knocks her, she does the same back. It is also seen after toruk chases them. She laughs and shows that she relished in being chased by a great big predator.
Her courage and perserverance is also shown many times over. No one is doubting that she is a brave person. It's just so obvious. The example I'm using is a different kind of courage, however. She has the courage and perserverance to be in close contact with a Skyperson and actually engage with him on a daily basis. This, after everything that happened between the Skypeople and the Omaticaya before - the death of her sister - is incredible.
Those are some of my thoughts on Neytiri's persnonality <3
