Count me in! I think the username idea combined with the idea/image posted earlier would be the best.

Front: the Na'Vi handprint
Back: TOS logo and below it the username

I think the idea of a simplistic front is a cool idea where only Avatar fans will recognize it. The back would be more colorful with the logo and the username in "Neytiri Blue" or something like that. I think the shirt color has to be black or a dark blue?

In conclusion.....I NEED ONE NOW!!!! We should get a head count going and a final design made...

I really think the hand print from the suvival guide would look much better on the front. This hand looks like a human hand with three fingers and a thumb.

Yeah, it looks better. In my copy of the survival guide, there is a picture of just the Na'Vi hand on the last real page in the book. Maybe scan it?

I love the ideas for the shirts you have posted below. The logo style of the TOS is AWESOME and then having the username underneath is fantastic! It might be too much but has anyone thought about adding in a medium type lettering with the Na'vi hand print something like Oel ngati kameie? Not in big bold type but maybe across the top of the hand or along the side or maybe even right across the hand print itself? Just a wild idea to throw out there I guess. :rolleyes:;)

Well, while it could be done, I think what most people want (me included) is a more subtle variant, where only Avatar fans could see its meaning - text in Na'vi sort of disrupts that level of subtlety.

That's just my opinion, though :P

Mmmm... I'm just not seeing it. I'd like it if it were just the logo and name on the back, and the hand on the front. Adding a picture seems kind of unneeded, to me anyway.

And most importantly, not everyone likes all pictures - having a more generic design fitting everyone is better. Unless a majority of users are against it, I suggest this as the (mostly) final design:

I think that the visual like that is an interesting idea, however I believe we should keep the subtlety in tact and have the only image be the Na'vi handprint on the front. (now a Neytiri picture on the other hand.... ;) )

We are - it's the technical part that's slowing it down. Making a lot of shirts all with an individual design is hard to do without it getting really expensive.

If obtaining the shirts becomes expensive, charge us more. :D

I'll imagine it could cost $20-$30 for one shirt.

We'll have to find a site that allows one of us to publish T-shirts upon which anyone could order them online - I'm currently trying to find a good such service.

Then we'd naturally put up one design per member, and the rest will be easy. ;)

So far, the places I've looked into which do them on order aren't able to do a print on both sides, only found a place that will where a minimum order would have to be placed and I would then have to distribute them :P
