Rally to Restore Sanity


Its really time to tell everybody involved in government, every campaign organizer, every candidate, every speechwriter, to shut, the ****, up. Anybody in the DC area, I am extremely, extremely, jealous of you. But unfortunately, school and work will keep me tethered to Wisconsin. (I'm sure many others will be there in spirit as well, work, school, kids. Not all political groups have the time to attend these things :rolleyes:)


Now, after hearing about Stewart's evil plan to take away our God given right to be afraid of everybody and everything, know that a valiant defender of our right to be assaulted by fear will keep it alive.

However, there may be some.... Organizational issues, apparently, they both want to be at the Washington mall at the same time on the same day... Oh well, I suppose they'll work that out at the scene.

I like the sound of this, I'd be down.

DC is only like a seven hour drive from my house, I'd love to be there, I'll see if I can squeeze it in.

Its only for a few hours, take pictures if you do go!

It really is incredible just how bat**** crazy some people in politics have become. Back in the day, accusing the president of being a marxist, communist, socialist, fascist Muslim Kenyan who is channelling his dead father's anti-colonial sentiments (did I forget any?:rolleyes:) was something reserved for the dudes with the sandwish boards and crazy eyes, but today it is somehow mainstream.:S

It's about time someone straightens out all of this ass-backwardry.

If people are honestly going this wacko in a general election year, I can't wait to see what happens in 2012. Should be entertaining. :P

Like I said, we'll be there in spirit. However, you could go tell any local political junkies to shut up on that day. :awesome:

We need to keep fear alive. No questions asked. Without it, we would be....rational.

Not trying to sound dumb, but I don't fully understand. What will be going on at this rally? And what do you guys mean by taking our fear away?

Its a rally for the 75% of America that's too busy to attend rallies. 25% of America make 100% of their voices heard, and its all extreme stuff. This is, to quote Stewart "the million moderate march".

[sarcasm]And of course, we cant let level headedness take away our fear of Gays, Muslims, Gun owners, and communists. So Colbert is having a rally to keep our fears of all these things alive.[/sarcasm]

I'll be laughing the day the rally attracts about 5-6 thousand people. :rolleyes: Everyone else'll probably be getting ready for Halloween anyway.

Mhm, moderates kinda have lives we have to take care of. We cant drop everything at the beck and call of our leaders... :awesome:



But wait, woodsprite, you're telling me you don't want to help keep us in fear?! How unamerican of you. I am disappoint, and I'm sure Colbert would be too.

For some reason I doubt Halloween will keep people inside. I mean, rational thinking didn't stop people from attending Beck.
