The Human Mind / Human Properties

In my oppinion you can split up the human mind / human properties into two blocks , one that is the stable block , it creates , it thinks of new ideas , new ways to solve problems , it's caring , generally new ideas , it tends to feed on success and wellbeing .

The other one is the destructive part that contains aggression , greed , anger , jealousness and alot more, it tends to feed on damage no matter what sort of .

You can clearly tell that the destructive and the productive parts of the human mind play a big roll in our acting , if not in the majority of the cases , they can take people over , specially in affective actions .

Somehow I tend to say that the destructive part seems to take over more easily , again specially in affective actions , special situations that kind of "overload" or "overheat" our way of thinking , our built up system, so that social and other values can be dropped for an amount of time and react accordingly to any situation that pushes stress etc. onto the individual .

Now to the productive part , it's the other part that defines our being as creators , we brought ourself to a whole new level , life to a whole new level with our way of thinking , with the ability of analyzing , of valuing proceedure of any kind and in any area , may it be science or social life .
It's mainly fueled by our will to gain and to discover , to invent and to reinvent , simply by one of our main attributes which is curiosity .

So the question is , which one is the stronger attitude , in the view of the whole of our actions , as I said before I tend to think the destructive part seems to be more "explosive" , more loaded , if not even waiting to burst out on certain occations , the constructive part is the more constant one , it seems to be alot more stable if not even the isolator for the destructive part .

The one can't live without the other. Our creative part wouldn't have anywhere to create if someone didn't wipe out the map what was there before, and our destructive part wouldn't have anything to wipe out if there hadn't been creative people building it.

But I believe we have freedom to choose which side to feed -though it's clearly difficult to choose with pressure upon you from your surroundings.

Both are what make people who they are. Nobody is anything without having both, even if some are more obvious in people than others.

I find your question very hard to answer because of how you approached classifying the brain. You started by judging the results of what actions a human would perform and then subdivided what the brain produces accordingly i.e. greed as part of the destructive part, care as part of creative part. Many of the underlying causes which influence a person to create and to destroy overlap. Many new ideas are created as a result of greed. Many things are destroyed as a result of greed. In which category does greed actually fall under? Greed can result in success. Care can result in damage.

It would be better to start with what the brain produces (emotions and thoughts) and then evaluate what actions result from it.

(independent variable to dependent variable instead of dependent variable to independent variable)

My issue here is that in the model you presented, many of the qualities that you listed could fall under both categories which makes determining which qualities are dominant difficult. Unless of course if you are interested in human action only and not the brain, then I would say that humans create a lot more than they destroy.

Anyone ever heard of Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson? ;)
