How many people here feel their done with Humaninty?
I've been having thoughts about Human history and I feel just upset about what humanity has done and how human socity is today. After so long, I feel like I want to be done with it all. Do any of you feel the same way?
|
Yes, definitely.
I wish for something more, to leave all the ayskxawng behind for a new life. |
I'm probably going to go live on an island somewhere or something.
|
Yes, society is screwed up beyond any repair at this point. I'm a bit tired of what everything has become to be honest.
|
Well, I think that humanity itself has some truly amazing traits. We are capable of unchallenged displays of love, care and honesty, amongst other things.
It's just a shame that no one gives a f*ck about those things any more. |
Humanity has done some pretty awful things and continues to do them. But, whether rationally or irrationally, I still hold hope that we won't completely destroy ourselves in the near future. And I still believe that we are capable of doing beautiful things.
|
Humanity has done some very bad things, but also very amazing things as well. Humanity allowed us all to come together on the internet and talk to people we never would have been able to speak to because of the distance. I believe that we can still do great things and learn from the mistakes.

I refer you to the introductory monologue on the Amarrians. A splinter race of humanity.
"The amarr are a... ...society capable of selfless acts, and unspeakable evil." The evil part just gets blown out of proportion and people like to judge by what they hear more about. |
Humanity... hmm, I just don't see a difference between it and "anomaly", especially these days. It can be told that humanity did a lot of great things, like the architecture, science and arts, these weren't and won't be forgotten too fast as long as there are people who develop it every single moment. I can't define Humanity in the people that don't help eachother and take part to the INDIVIDUALISM. This hunger for more money, more material support, more more more of that, transformed the human into a virus of the planet, with exploiting the resources 'till ain't nothing left, killing animals and making species to disappear, cutting forests in order to build more industrial and residential complexes, abusing science in order to create bombs and war which is absolutely for nothing but killing, and killing and... killing. Sometimes I really regret I'm a human, but sometimes not, I find myself as a human in the big achievements we all have done since the dawn of time and not in the negative part of it. :)
Like Frank Lloyd Wright said long time ago : "Early in life I had to choose between honest arrogance and hypocritical humility. I chose the former and have seen no reason to change". :D |
A race destroying the planet they live all on in the name of paper sure is one hell of an achievement.
I'm glad I live in these times as well. |

But I still give a f*ck and I won't give up on them, despite their short commings. As you stated earlier... Humans are capable of alot of good things too, and there are quite a few 'good ones' left in this world. IMO, to give up on them would be somewhat of a betrayal, especially for the ones who have shown me their kindness and understanding. At times, I even surprise myself when I do something really cool for someone else, even moreso if it is a total stranger... Given my experiences, and what I have seen in this life, so far, that's alot to be said. Tey'Kan |

I'm glad I live in a world where people give up all hope in their own species and don't even try to correct it but instead just throw their hands in the air and give up. |
Same here.
At least they had the sense to give up... |
