We're all assuming the cabinet contains a statue of some kind. Probably Neytiri.

...If that's all the cabinet edition has to offer over the collector's edition, I probably won't get it.

I'm pretty meh about statues in general. Even if it is Neytiri. Statues break! :P And I wouldn't want Ney in two pieces on the floor if something drastic happened. :P Then again I'm generally clutzy so if you want the statue by all means get it. :)

I would however like to say this. The bonus footage...looks AWESOME! In that second video, that beginning scene on earth is going to unravel more of the storyline :D I love the futuristic look to the planet, it's the way our cliche future is always 'supposed' to be depicted as. :P

Does anyone know why in the DVD edition, Disc 1 and 2 have the same stuff on them??:S

I've preordered the collector's edition. Won't get the cabinet one because all it has extra is a statue of Jake. If a Neytiri one becomes available, I'll get that though and cancel my preorder of the regular collector's edition :)

Hunter, only if you're careless. Mine will be protected as one of the most important things I own (if there's a Neytiri one and not just Jake... :( )

How much?
and Where?

I hope that the DVD has enough behind the scenes to match the blu-ray or just enough to satisfy a Fan with out Blu-ray:facepalm:

James Cameron's Avatar: Limited Extended Collector's Edition (Blu-ray) - Blu-ray at Play.com (UK)

There :)

From what I've heard, the DVD will be missing the final bonus disk, just having the first two.

Nulkrr'zo 10-06-2010 03:08 AM

that is sooooooo sooooo messed up that the DVD versions dont have all the stuff the Blu-ray does! its BS! i mean they could put a 4th dvd in the box so it could have all the stuff the blu-ray does! they could even charge more, id still buy it!:xD: maybe the DVD cabinet edition will have something better, but those trailers got my stoked-o-meter at like a billionn!!! :shoop:

Empty Glass 10-06-2010 05:56 AM

Add me to the list of people who don't get why the DVD version seems to have the same material on the first two discs. :S

Yeah I know, DVDs are soooo last decade but my wallet isn't exactly ready to get a blu-ray player, much less a proper TV to go with it.

Nulkrr'zo 10-06-2010 06:35 AM

even the image on amazon lists the two discs as being the same! WTF?

Empty Glass 10-06-2010 06:37 AM

Oh wait, I think I see what it is - the movie is too long to fit on a single disc. There's Avatar Part 1 and Avatar Part 2

Stanley_9875 10-06-2010 06:38 AM

Wait a couple things...

First SOOOO EXCITED!!! The case looks perfect and everything!!!

But since its limited I'm biting my nails as to if I should buy the limited and cabinet edition... even if it comes with Jake. And also Human No More where did you see/hear it came with a Jake statue? is that all thats added to it?

AUGH I AM SO CONFUSED!!!
