[21:02:05] Eltu: Technically though, everyone's 'strange' seen from one perspective or the other
[21:02:27] Adventus: Well then, between 1 to 10, how strange am I?
[21:02:43] Eltu has quit (Quit: Eltu).
[21:03:27] Adventus: I guess that means 10. :/

[07:01:19] HumanNoMore: ah, clearly :P
[07:01:37] HumanNoMore: yeah, netgear is what most of the ISPs around here supply, particularly bad ISPs
[07:01:50] Sacred: HumanNoMore, once you put... tomato on them?
[07:01:55] HumanNoMore: yep.
[07:02:03] HumanNoMore: well, DD-WRT works too, but I prefer tomato

Not funny. Typical misconception :(

Advent 09-19-2011 09:20 AM

There's nothing wrong with messing around a bit. Besides, they do put their queues in multiple places.

mikkowilson 09-19-2011 04:38 PM

And we talk to multiple people.

Just another form of communication. Amazing how many ayskxawng miss that point.

- Mikko

Clarke 09-19-2011 04:47 PM

We talk with a seperate organ than we do the other thing with, though. :P

mikkowilson 09-19-2011 04:50 PM

So do the Na'vi.

Tsaheylu is merely a direct neural link as a form of emotional connection. They have the same reproductive organs we do for the other part of the business.

We talk to each other, and we talk during sex. Does that mean every time we talk we are having sex?

- Mikko ... was tempted to just throw a "Then you're doing it wrong" joke in there instead of his above response.

Sarah Noel 09-20-2011 01:13 AM

The Na'vi don't link with many Na'vi the way we talk to many people though, just their mates. I can imagine why, but it further enforces the misconception most people have about the queue, as well as Grace's joke "don't play with that, you'll go blind." When I'm in costume I often get heckled about the queue, even better is when people think the Na'vi bond with their tails.

This would, as a matter of practicality, be more sensible than the current arrangement. :awesome:

mikkowilson 09-20-2011 02:23 AM

...Except that you'd probably want your tail free to help control balance (their main purpose) during flight for example.

Well, tails are quite flexible. Anyway, you shouldn't need to move around too quickly during flight, since you know where you're going.
