A travesty. Really, are the "judges" over at deviant art blind or stupid? Maybe both. Seriously, take a look at what they declared "semifinalists" in the design contest, then take a browse through other entries that were declared not good enough.

Stick to judging WoW armor sets, let EVE players tell you whats a decent hull.

Looking through the semi-finalists, some designs have me scratching my head. There are a few good designs like the Tornado and Naru-Kami but overall they all seem rather picked randomly and some are rather poor in quality. I would even say that the judges did not have much knowledge of the game. There are some starships in the mix that have no place in the eve universe (the bes especially).

Imo, those two were the only ones worthy of being semifinalists. (Rumor mill has it that the contest itself may have been more of a popularity contest within DA.)

As for the ship designs, a few are good, some just really don't look right. Also, I forgot which it was now, but when I saw it I instantly thought 'Minmatar copy of the Myrmidon' :P
