Preview of some scenes from the Extended Collector's Edition (SPOILERS)

:D :D :D :D :D

AVATAR EXTENDED COLLECTOR'S EDITION - on Blu-ray & DVD November 16

It has the adverts for the Collectors Edition and...

There's a deleted scene with Jake and Grace which is interesting, plus it has Grace explain what happened at the school :'(

The other new video is an unfinished one, an alternate version of the part where Grace and Jake talking to Selfridge plus some extra bits after.

Why did they only show sad ones though? :(

EDIT: Another scene :)

I'm SO NOT gonna watch that :S Must save all the feelings/experience completely for the CE I'm afraid :( Was too long since I experienced Avatar that I can waste it on short sneak peaks or even the movie itself. I will survive the next coming week without it :) (I hope )

Banefull 11-08-2010 07:16 PM

^^

Having not seen avatar for quite a while, I too do not want to spoil it.

But the temptation....

Hunter of the Glade 11-08-2010 07:54 PM

Not watchin, want everything new to be a surprise on the 16'th. :P

SaphirJD 11-08-2010 10:05 PM

SaphirJD 11-08-2010 11:51 PM

i really wish that i also resisted, but well, it will anyway not destroy the special feeling i will have when watching the upcoming bluray :)

Really really looking forward for it :)

Woodsprite 11-09-2010 03:19 AM

The second scene was really...

...I really am starting to see many reasons for... something.

ISV Venture Star 11-09-2010 03:31 AM

I'm going to be good and not watch this right now. Not sure if I'll be able to hold out though...

For the "humans" taking the $hit that they want & D@mm anyone standing in their way---The Original movie ought to have had some of those scenes included (and not left on the cutting room floor).....I'm sure some toes would have been stepped on (and that's a very GOOD THING :war: )

Please don't turn this into another 'let's justify the RDA's actions' thread. We all KNOW you like them. If anything, the new scenes make them even worse in my opinion.

ISV Venture Star 11-09-2010 04:17 AM

I haven't watched it, but I can guess what this might be from some of the comments. I wonder if JC had to fight FOX to get this filmed? Now that Avatar has grossed over $2bn, I'm sure he'll have free rein to do a lot more scenes like this in the sequel...

I like the RDA?

...Wow, I thought I hated them, but I guess you know me better than I know myself.

PhoenixRider 11-09-2010 09:42 PM

Oh my god... *faints*

Patrice Maire 11-10-2010 12:58 AM

Not watching them either... I have it pre ordered on amazon so I don't have to worry about having to go out to the store and get it. Will likely go over to my daughters to watch it on their HUGE screen.

Helicoradian 11-10-2010 08:36 AM

I really want to watch it, but don't want to spoil anything either :S

going to wait until the CE is released...

Rainbowhawk1993 11-10-2010 03:15 PM

I'm probibly going to get it on DVD (:'() on the 16th andf watch it on friday because we will go to see the deathy hollows in the afternoon on the 20th, (also exited for that :)). I just hope the CE has the scene where Max shreads the Comand center during the battle to show that the avatars helped during the battle so nobody's confused in the end, Maybe that is why my SE experiance was spoiled because I was anticapting it through the whole movie.

Why do you care about snippets released online? You've got the actual discs in your hands! :P

Yes, but most people don't :P
I know some people want to save it all for when they can watch it all at once, but I thought I'd post it for people excited to know more :)

And finally...a (short) scene of the Venture Star...moving under it's own power

Yes... it was so damn great that you all really used SPOILER tags for that one

Pregnancy Neytiri
I did not want to know that >:/ (Yes, I had my guess that they perhaps would reveal it. And I have read the original script, so I was prepared for JC to make Neytiri pregnant. But who know's maybe he would've changed his mind!? Doesn't change how I actually wanted to find that out myself :S )

Spoiler: Main point.

Tsyal Makto 11-13-2010 12:35 AM

If I was there I would've done a Bioshock on him with that club.:war:

...Or maybe I'd wait until after the war to do it.:war::war:

Tsamsiyua'ewan 11-13-2010 01:45 AM

Kaltxė ma smuk! I found this today. It's not a spoiler vid, so don't worry. But it's part of the CE for sure. It's the sturmbeest hunt from the extended cut released in Aug. Enjoy! :D

EywaBlessMe 11-27-2010 04:20 AM

SPOILER

The death scene for T'sutey was unnecessary! BIG MINUS!!! BOO HISS!!![

Woodsprite 11-27-2010 04:56 AM

...^Don't know if you're trolling or not, but I kind of agree. The scene was wonderful, but didn't belong. It's like how great pancakes may taste... but they don't belong with a lobster dinner.

EywaBlessMe 11-27-2010 05:07 AM

Allow me to elucidate. When T'sutey was riddled with bullets, and plummeted to earth, his surviving to be found is impossible. And the scene where he is falling was a fitting end to a warrior. No change needed. I found the deleted scene tacked on.

Human No More 11-27-2010 06:20 AM

How is it impossible?
Impossible for a human perhaps

It may be a bit of a stretch, but far from impossible.

Human No More 11-27-2010 06:57 AM

Especially when it shows him falling through the leaves. After all, he was certainly not uninjured.

ISV Venture Star 11-27-2010 07:36 AM

For a Na'vi with carbon fibre reinforced bones falling in the lower gravity and thicker atmosphere of Pandora and with a forest canopy to break his fall it doesn't seem impossible at all.

Woodsprite 11-27-2010 09:15 AM

^That. I don't think it's impossible either. As HNM said, though, for a human perhaps it would be... though I'd disagree with the use of the word "perhaps", as I'd say it'd definately be impossible for a human. I mean, it looked like a 500 ft. fall. A man can't survive it, even with leaves breaking his fall. A Na'vi, yes, but no man.

EywaBlessMe 12-21-2010 10:54 PM

Let me just say that if he can survive being riddled with bullets and multi-hundred-foot plummet then he will likely recover.
Get him a doctor.
MEDIC!!

There have been humans that have survived ridiculosly high falls, 25,000 ft+ and you can survive being shot with 3 bullets easy.

rasomaso 12-22-2010 02:59 AM

The only thing I don't like about the scene is how it interrupts the flow you know, when Neytiri closes her eyes in tears while holding Jake, and the scene fades to the "aliens being sent back to their dying world", the flow is just perfect. The death scene is like a one more piece of story inside the ending, but I guess it wouldn't be logical if it happened sooner so probably better than not having it. :)
