I'm sure HNM in particular will be pleased to hear this (assuming he hasn't already). |
Sounds not bad, with that i am quite pleased too :) Really hope much for the Sequel :)
|
With Avatar 2 and 3 being filmed back to back, I woulda thought that 2 would be a cliffhanger (ala Empire Strikes Back). i was kinda hoping for that, but this works too ::D:
|
I am glad that its not a cliffhangar. I would rather leave the cinema on that day having watched Avatar 2 as a complete story rather than an incomplete one. Maybe I will get PAD again from it, who knows.
|
Cliffhangers are in that way bad that you are hungry for more and then you have to wait again to get closure, in that case better a closed story, my opinion too :)
|
Great news!
Really happy that all the 'underwater' theorists will be silenced now :) |
Cameron may just use the underwater cuts in certain parts perhaps...
|
And we have a timeline!!!! It picks up right after the first one...could be a few weeks or months.... but still yay!!! Now will have to go to my second life group and tell them this...kind of throws our rp timeline in a flummox.
Yay for more news! |
I like how they want it to not feel like it's setting you up for a sequal. The first one did that and I hope it works as well for the second one. It's better if it doesn't give you that feeling if you ask me.
|
I felt like the ending of Avatar was definitely to create expectation of a sequel... :)
|
I feel like the best way to end the sequel is to have it give a big wink and nod to one. That's at least what the first film did (as HNM pointed out). It wasn't a blatant, spelled-out exclamation that there would be a sequel, but the subtleties in it gave so much room for one.
The second film should at least have the same ending subtleties that Avatar 1 had. |
The first movie wasn't so much a cliffhanger as the sense of a new chapter had begun. A cliffhanger leaves you in a 'pause' mode with something unexpected happening that leads to the next film or chapter. With this first film, it merely was a pause...
Oh I can hardly wait! All the possible situations that will be coming, the possibility of Jake relating what his transfer was like, there is definitely a sense of anticipation rather than anxiety. Very excited now! (But that will dim over the next few years until more information and photos from the new film start trickling in..then it's an uphill rollercoaster ride!) |
Actor behind Jake Sully tells MTV News he talks to James Cameron 'all the time,' and expects more details in 2011.
