I can't wait :P

The artists who'll get to design Pandoras underwater world are so lucky! They will really get to be creative with that place! Oh how i envy them! :(

Imo it's just sneaky topic to ninja clicks, come one i can't believe that there will be no insurance company.... Besides he is rich enough to roll av2 by his own :D
Indeed :P
Anyway, aftershocks last for months, yes, but not years. |

Found this form one of the links ^ Japan Earthquake Could Hurt 'Avatar 2' and James Cameron's Epic Underwater Dive - The Moviefone Blog
Said that 'Avatar 2' may be delayed because of the recent earthquake activity in japan, insecure to shoot underwater scenes in the area when there's the risk for new coming activity :S :( |

Well, there's been enough news about that now, now they have to do it :D
So no one is concerned that the Avatar 2 may be delayed?
Not until we get news either way, really.
So what was the article ^ then?
It just means they'll have to change shooting location from Japan to...?
Anyway, the actual shooting for Avatar2-3 won't start for another year to a year and a half. Plenty of time to look for another location. |
Where was 'Avatar' filmed?
The intention was to film some underwater footage there, at the Mariana Trench. you can't film that elsewhere. Although really, it can always be filmed alter, and it just means doing the motion capture work beforehand instead. The actual motion capture can be done anywhere with a large studio with the proper equipment.
....Wait a second.
If there's an earthquake, being in the middle of the ocean is a great place to be. If you're underwater on the bottom, not so much, but anywhere in between is fairly safe. |
Good to see things coming together :)

There hasn't been much Avatar sequel news recently. But don't lose hope! Somewhere out there JC must be working feverishly to nail down the story arc of the next two films (and write the novel). If only we could see what he has on his laptop hard drive...
I'm curious about JC's work, but I would never read the script before movie release. That would destroy the whole effect :/
That's what I'm wondering when it comes to the build-up to the next film. Go into media blackout and stick fingers in ears, or hunt down every spoiler I can find?
Ha ha ha, that's good idea :P
Nah, I want to know, but not TOO MUCH! :D |
I'd stay away from everything and try to go in with as little preconception as possible. I never really looked at Avatar until I had watched it and I think that worked great.
I'm going to avoid things related to the sequel until after opening night... the first time I really have done that :)
I don't know. I went into Avatar having heard all the hype and after listening to all of my friends talk about it, and that still didn't diminish the movie for me in any way. So I won't be closing my eyes and humming to keep information out, but I don't think I'll go out of my way to search for spoilers on the sequels, either.
Jc is secretive with his movie, I like this, somthing to look farward to.
Sounds good. I hope all that space gets put to use for the sequels :)
Nice piece of information strewn in casually: "Cameron produced the 2009 3-D blockbuster “Avatar” at Playa Vista in a studio half the size. But the former aircraft hangar, which dates back to the days of Howard Hughes, was too small and too old to accommodate additional demands by Hollywood's most famous futurist, who took performance capture technology to a new level in the sci-fi movie."
So, what Hughes was for aviation, Cameron is now for movies? Neat comparison... although I doubt, that JC is as much of a germaphobe, that Hughes was said to be... and what Leo di Caprio portrayed him like in The Aviator. ;) Wiggling bare toes, ~*Txim Asawl*~ |
Great, good to hear this. Thank you for the info.

I don't think they made any mistakes... apart from not having more Neytiri of course :D
I completely agree with the comment above this one..
More Ney'tiri is happy fans. Happy fans means more movies.. YOU FINALLY GET IT? :xD: |
Check Out The Sequel To Avatar:
... The Last Airbender AAAH, had me fooled, Google! |
Maybe JC just has a awesome sense of humor and The Last Airbender *was* the sequel, that non of us watched.
