Well, that picture of the universe is only based off a model from current understanding :P , but still beautiful...

Perhaps everything just follows the same growth pattern?

There are an infinite number of possible patterns but some patterns are more efficient than others. Its a true testament to nature's ability to find these most efficient patterns. As computer models become better and better, we are finding that automatic design simulations often return results closely identical to what we find in nature.

Here’s a strange theory: what if it takes an entire universe to create one sentient, conscious entity like us. I know this makes no observable sense (we don't think brain cells are made of stars) but think about how complex it would be if your mind is its own individual universe. This framework could create a multiverse of infinite conscious perspectives. At the quantum scale the brain is like the size of the universe. Now add in how strange the Quantum world is with stuff like: the characteristics of quantum particles where particles can be in multiple places at the same time, communicate at subliminal speeds regardless of distance, and create mysterious energy from within a vacuum. Now that is something worth thinking about. :)
