It's been a while

Some time have past now and I'm starting to feel like a part of this community now even tho I'm not posting all that much nor fancy Avatar to the degree that most of you others do. The members of this community is what keeps me here.
Once upon a time Eltu told me about this forum, I thought that it was fun project he had but I didn't think that the forum in itself was something for me since I'm not over the ears flabbergasted by Avatar. But we continued to talk about the forum from time to time and I built up a little interest for the social aspects of it. Never before have I seen a community that behaves so much like a family... It was very interesting to "study" as an outsider. But I still thought that I wouldn't fit in so I didn't join up until I heard from Eltu about a discussion in which furries were being flamed. I thought that this furryflaming was odd for this community and kind of scary since members of this community usually respect each other. So I basically joined so that I could bash the flamers head in and paint the walls with what's left.... but I didn't. I simply regained my cool after I signed up... It didn't feel like it would help in any way if I act like a militant furry on the internet.
And I didn't log in again after that until one day when I needed to contact Eltu about some homework we had. And I got stuck so to speak^^

I'm 18, come from Sweden, same school as Eltu, furry and pacifist. I spend most of my time listening to music of different kinds... I don't like to get stuck in one genre so instead I try to listen to whatever I can find... I want to see it as my cultural evolution. But at the core... my main genre is EBM and synth of different kinds.
I'm a collector and I droll over whatever brass object, machine or bottle I can get hold on. I do fancy steampunk, dieselpunk and dandy clothing which I can't get enough of.
And well.... I think that'll have to do as a introduction for now.

Great to have you around - and I am happy you get something good out of being here. :)

Well.... can't argue with that one. But to my defense!

My white tie... weird name.. it's no tie... nor is it white. And also that's my newest piece in my top hat collection. It's a chapeau-claque. With other words a squeeze able version of a top hat. Works by a series of springs and a locking mechanism inside the hat.

If I'd be listening to any techno/electronic/ W/E... (I don't... really not!) It would SOOO be this :D

GP-5 11-26-2010 08:48 AM

That was quite nice but not my cup of tea yet... Bit I think I will learn to like it.
For the moment I have a period where I mostly listen to VNV Nation, Duran Duran, Nox Arcana and Eek-A-Mouse. Any of you folks listening to some of it?

This track might be a good 'starter drug'. The bit from 1:20 onwards is especially :shoop::awesome:

That was quite cool... but I think it somehow affected my 3D-modeling when I listened to it... I suddenly tried to put jet engines on the lighthouse I'm making O_o

That's nice. I saw VNV on Arvika earlier this year. First row and all... It was a nice day and VNV's performance was quite good but not the best on the festival. Duran Duran is one of the big groups from the 80's. Many catchy synth tunes. Eek-A-Mouse is some sort of crossover between reggae and scat. Me like a lot^^

You listen to harder EBM aswell?

It's good, the snow is here and I'm walking in my winter wonderland. For the moment I'm modeling a lighthouse for a 3D-scene with a zeppelin. It takes time but it's fun and relaxing to create stuff and I can listen to massive amounts of music while I'm at it. Makes me warm on the inside.
So, the same to you... what's up?

Neytiri. 12-02-2010 06:21 PM

That sounds really fun, I love the snow, it's perfect hot chocolate and cuddling weather :P I'm good I guess, just at school working v.v Gotta finish this class up and I'll get everything back online and my xbox and life will be awesome lol ^_^

Hm so what kind of EBM-groups do you listen to? Since you listen to VNV I presume you listen to Assemblage 23, Covenant, Wolfsheim and alike.
Some groups I really fancy is Qntal, Zombie girl, Wolfsheim and Aesthetic Perfection. Heard of any of them?

Elyannia 12-02-2010 09:48 PM

I've heard of Covenant,Zombie Girl and Aesthetic Perfection :) And of course I've heard of Neuroticfish for their song 'They're coming to take me away'

Good taste, good taste^^
By the way, the Neuroticfish version is just a cover. Here's the original... a classic from 1966.

Elyannia 12-02-2010 10:50 PM

Yeah I know it's a cover, but I heard the Neuroticfish version first. ^^;

Other way around for me^^
Qntal is a wonderful group which sings in Latin/German or old time English. Found them before Nox Arcana and I really like them... not as dark and more focused on the medieval sound combined with electronica. Sadly there best tunes isn't on youtube.
By the way, saw Aesthetic Perfection last on Arvika last year. First row once more. If you have the chance to see them live go for it. They know how to perform.

Wonderful, what parts of game developing interest you, concept-design, modeling, story-writing perhaps... since you're interested in literature :3

It's cool, fun to hear that other guys tends to their feminine side. I have a couple of skirts myself but I prefer the long ones. No need to show of my hairy legs in school^^ I've separated my skirts in two category, masculine and feminine. I prefer to be in some sort of androgynous balance so I often combine clothing from both sides... but not now.... it's to damn cold to jump around in the snow in a skirt -.-
If you want to have a little chat send me a PM or two :3

I had a friend at school who wore lots of skirts and he even owned a dirndl that he wore atleast once a week. :P

Well, if you're happy doing it, go for it :P

I guess you MIGHT say I'm more feminine than many guys, I have epic hair and I'm fairly emotional, but that's going way too far for me :P

That's really cool, not often you see that kind of clothing over here... and especially not on guys^^
That kind of clothing isn't really my cup of tea, to wear that is. I like design so I find it interesting to watch. But yea, it's fun and often really beautiful when people follow their own way instead of the stream.
This is my favorite set. Worn by my trustworthy companion Lois who doesn't have a head.

Well I don't really dress up to feel like a girl... You see I don't want to feel like a girl, or a man. I doesn't really feel like any of it now and I don't see the point in trying to. I think that my existents is funnier this way when I can do what I want instead of doing what's expected of my gender. So... this is my path^^
