Leslie Nielsen (February 11, 1926 – November 28, 2010)
 

Today is a sad day. I've just learned of the death of my favourite comedy actor, Leslie Nielsen. His roles in Airplane! and Naked Gun were "shirley" one of the best in spoof comedy.

I believe a tribute is in order.

R.i.p. :(:'(

I am grieved to hear this, he was a Canadian (and possibly even from Saskatchewan) Icon. He will be sorely missed. His straight laced humour was such a remarkable quality!

I was very sad to hear about his death :( He will be remembered.

A sad, sad loss. He was really one of the greats.

An actor that i was already missing

I was really sad to hear about his death, he was truly a great comedian, one of the best, and he will be missed greatly :(

Another death of a famous person that happened a few days after was Irv Kirshner. For those that don't know that name..shame on you. He directed Empire Strikes Back, the best of the original Star Wars trilogy.
Both were icons in their respective fields. Nielsen was great in comedy and his line from Airplane is quoted many times in casual conversation.
