Is it definitely the collector's edition and not the theatrical edition?

True and this is only bd 50 gb so it have worse picture q then normal bd edition. Imo best option is to wait for normal premiere with blu-ray 100 gb discs :P

Looks awesome, but nevertheless I'm saving my money again...for when the TV becomes a direct portal to Pandora. :xD:

I wish I had a 3D monitor... :(
|
I know why it's being released exclusively... I just wish I could buy it now anyway, cuz I bought 120hz monitor and 3D vision for gaming mainly, but gaawd. full length Avatar in 3D?! I want it nooooowwwww!
I downloaded a 3 minute 50 second clip from some promotional 3D video site, and I can say, it looks fantastic in 3D, would be better on a good sized 3D tv, but 24" monitor is better than nothing. interesting to note the filesize though. the 3min 50sec clip at 1080p with only a 128kbps stereo audio track. 662mb. I cant imagine how big the whole movie would be uncompressed with the DTS HD audio track aswell. :O guess thats why it'll only be released on blu-rays (the 3D version) |
Still i would wait for proper Extended edition with blu-ray 100gb discs ;p
And you can get that copy either way from ebay or from other sources. |
I saw Avatar on a 3D TV a couple months ago, but it wasn't genuine 3D. Still looked amazing though, and I'm sure the real 3D looks even better.
