You know that weird weak, tingly, and weary kinda feeling you have when you first wake up? Did anyone else get that during the "wake up, Jake!" scene?

Yep. I found it more noticeable when Jake first enters his avatar though, when the vision is blurred and hearing distorted and gradually comes into focus.

I think the effect when Grace dies is great, it's like falling asleep lol. :D

Indeed, I actually keep blinking a couple times because I feel its me :xD:

But immersive? Definitely.

With Jake and Neytiri, I feel like I am being loved... stuff like that.

I'm always immersed every time I watch it. After seeing it for the first time it took days to finally snap out of it, something like a mental fog (this being prior to PAD setting in)

I know exactly what you mean, the same thing happens every time for me - by the end, I always need to take some time, in a way, to wait for my mind to get back from Pandora...
If only all of me could be there... :(

I'm the same way. That's why I only watch it at night, so when it's over I can come back at my own pace...If I watch it during the day the only thing I'll think about is Neytiri, Pandora, and how that life in so many ways would be better than this one :(

Every time I go to watch it, I think;

"There's no way I can be completely absorbed by it again, this time..."

And everytime i'm wrong. :P

I get lost in the movie every time I watch it, which is why when the movie ends, I feel like I've just been stabbed.........

3D? I feel like I'm on Pandora WITHOUT 3D... (Although I really want to see it sometime in 3D! Never have... Not even seen it in Blu Ray! :()
It's scary sometimes.. I believe the movie is my life while watching it, but if I get disturbed while watching it, I'm instantly reminded that I'm actually on a crappy planet with arrogant selfish people on it and also I'm on what can be.. A complete and utter pig sty of a planet! (This may sound contradicting of some earlier things I've said, I still believe this planet is beautiful! It's humans that don't allow it to be.)

Indeed. I still remember the my first viewing.. At the end when the AVATAR text pops in the screen and the drums boom for the last time, not just me but many others I who sat ahead me had some kind of a shiver/sudden movement when falling off the dream. Unforgettable..

The only thing I know is that I get MAD PISSED if I'm disturbed while watching Avatar. :S

Humanity isn't that bad, people...

Human No More 12-24-2010 02:59 AM

Some humans and humanity in general are completely different things.

Woodsprite 12-24-2010 03:11 AM

I don't think humanity in general is as bad as some make it out to be. Sure, it's got its low points (some very low points), but humanity in general... no. It's not completely horrible. I just disagree.

I agree with you, completely. Avatar in 3D was an incredible experience. :D
