My new headphones
Got this radio earlier this day.
Now I just have to see if it's fully functional, hopefully I don't have to do anything except installing the crystals and then this little beauty should be up and running. Don't know how old she is. Found her in a box, wrapped up in newspapers from 1942 so around there I presume. By the way, any other operators on this forum? http://i528.photobucket.com/albums/d...r/PICT0014.jpg http://i528.photobucket.com/albums/d...r/PICT0016.jpg http://i528.photobucket.com/albums/d...r/PICT0005.jpg http://i528.photobucket.com/albums/d...r/PICT0006.jpg |
Impressive :)
Nice resistor in the last picture :P Never done it myself but I understand the principle and the systems to a degree (although I will admit I don't know all the different letters in morse code :P ) |

You don't need to know morse to get a license in most country's. Telegraphy usually have it's own license. I don't know it myself, PSK31 is my main media :3 |
Steampunk headphones. :awesome:
That's pretty cool, I'm guessing you're just missing some germanium diodes, yes? Idk much about this, but I remember listening to AM radio with a long wire, a diode, and some cheap phones from the dollar store. |
2kohm headphones? You wouldn't hear a thing from an iPod i guess..
