Avatar movie for my Ipod for PAD medicine?
I had a breakdown yesterday evening with depression and PAD was apart of it because I watched Some dealeted scenes in the morning. I probably Shouldn't tell anyone about my mental conditions but I think I may want to so people who want to help me can understand. I have asperger syndrome which means that my mind has something playing in it like a seen from a movie in this case the Bad scenes from avatar: Neytiri's heart being broken when Jake confesses, Jake trying to tell the Na'vi to run but they stay and many of them die because they didn't yield to jake's warning and Neytiri cring over her dead father. I try to think about other scenes but it's very hard for me when one scene keeps playing in my mind.
I think music could help but i honestly think the avatar soundtrack doesn't have enough. It doesn't have any "Pulled from dispair and renewed with hope" songs. The only way to find that music from the soundtrack is by youtube with the complete score videos: Prayers for Grace ...to mend the heart restore hope. and ...to feel rejuvinated with moral and to see the pain in the a**'s receive the unrelenless hell the desirved ever since they set foot on pandora. But the problem is that I can't get these on Itunes to listen to them Anytime I get a bad scene in my head. I was thinking of Paying $15 to get the movie for my Ipod so I could see those scenes that restore hope. What do you think? |
I like 'Gathering The Na'vi Clans For Battle' as a good song for hope :)
As for putting it on your ipod, I don't know... it depends on if you think you could watch it like that or not, as personally I'd find it a bit hard to watch a screen that small for nearly 3 hours. |
It's good to see someone open to help, and there are definitely a lot on here willing to help. As far as my understanding of Asperger syndrome goes, your mind becomes fixated on things easier, correct? And as you've said, in this case it happens to be the "bad" scenes of Avatar. Really the easiest explanation to this specific part of your feelings would be to try and remember the bigger picture. Through our struggles we become stronger. Just as that is true IRL, this is true in Avatar. These scenes you speak of are completely necessary to point out that Jake and the Na'vi overcome these struggles and are eventually victorious. Wouldn't be much of a movie if the RDA just decided that Jake was right and they should leave Pandora, right? That's what you should work on overcoming as far as the actual movie goes.
As far as within yourself, this is something many of us have seen through PAD. Before I go any further with this aspect of it, I need to make sure you're willing to be helped, and if not, I completely understand...not many people are going to tell you what's going on in their head over a website. But if you are willing to move forward, I first need to know what caused this episode of "PAD." For some of us it was regrets, some it was recent obstacles we've had to overcome...but for most, we all just looked inside ourselves and felt a little down. The real question is, can you overcome this obstacle like any other in life? And we're here to help you with that question...I'm sure that others will post similarly here, but if you could expand on what caused you to feel down, that would be tremendously helpful to us. |

I wanted to do this on a mobile phone having nothing to do on the road to a 3 hour distance city but couldn't resist to watch the trailer, imagine that about the movie itself. :D I got on my mobile phone player the OST from the original CD and the most played track is Climbing Up Iknimaya, it gives so much optimism, absolutely so great. On summer I used to stay on the terrace at sunrise and listen to it all by myself, I love the feeling so much :) PAD... it's normal to have it and even enjoy it (might be just me), I usually like to take the positive part and abuse it due to the fact that it ain't much time left :airquote: Besides that, I barely recall when I DIDN'T had PAD cause I always do... :hmm: |

Of course it's positive - the entire point is that Avatar is an awakening.

There's no actual need to be 'over it', I've had this discussion many times, the people who claim that are the ones who think it is a negative feeling, as as such, don't fully understand the nature of it, of how it is an awakening. Nobody wants to go back to how they used to be.

No, by over it I didn't mean going back to the way things used to be. By over it, I mean over the depression. You can't possibly argue that being in a depression for an extended time is a good thing, I'm saying that you can turn it into a positive and stick with it. Some of us were fortunate enough to realize its positive potential immediately, others have had to keep going back to the movie as a "fix" to get that good feeling, have stayed in a depression, when really the answer has been right there the whole time...the way to have a life like what we envisioned in Avatar, to truly have a meaningful, enriching life is within you.

These tunes often uplift me sometimes.
I'll try to help here. So if you are trying to get to where you can play this on your Ipod? Go to the youtube video that has the music you want, copy the link and go to this website YouTube to MP3 Converter - Video2mp3 - Converter and paste the link there follow the onsite directions which will allow you to download a MP3 file of the song. Then add the song to your itunes and add to your Ipod. I did this with the Avatar soundtrack that was on Youtube before I bought it. The quality may not be CD quality but it's decent. I hope this helps =) |
