:) Thanks. Who knows if I'm right, but that's what it makes me think of every time I see it. I wouldn't trust some dreamwalker after that either.

I was thinking the about Tsu'tey's ear..The shape of the hole got me thinking. ;)

Layzie 03-26-2011 06:31 AM

I doubt it. I could be wrong though.

Pa'li Makto 03-26-2011 06:34 AM

I don't think anyone would be wrong until we get official news on it. ;)

i've always thought it was a bite from an animal, not a bullet hole... very good point

Yeah, Tsu'tey decided he'd let a little Pandoran bird nibble on his ear one day...

;):rolleyes::xD::P

sorry i seem like a retard to you. i'll try and not be so retarded from now on

Woodsprite 03-26-2011 08:49 AM

Nah, I was just thinking about how... an animal could do that to Tsu'tey. It's like saying how a lion slowly approached a person, and then began to sink its teeth in once it was close enough, even though that'd be kinda weird that the person never moved or tried to escape. No digging meant on you or anything; just thinking out loud. ;)

Human No More 03-26-2011 09:55 AM

I never thought about how the wound to his ear might have happened. It's a possible explanation, except that a bullet carries a lot of energy so wouldn't do something like that to a human, but then again, the Na'vi are much tougher.

I think even Tsu'tey would have cared about Grace then, and probably still did afterwards, but just hid it better.
Considering who did or didn't go to the school, I would say Mo'at is the only one who most likely didn't, probably learning English form Neytiri and the others.

You know what I've always assumed, was that Eytukan understands English, but just refuses to speak it. Like you said, he probably learned it from Neytiri and others... maybe even Mo'at after she learned it. After all, the Na'vi are very quick to learn things.

...That, and Eytukan seems to know and understand whatever Jake says, even if no one translates for him. He probably doesn't speak the language because of some principle he has or something.

Yes, if it were a human I wouldn't consider the idea so much. However, I just thought maybe that's what they intended because of it's shape. Who knows though. I think you're right about Tsu'tey caring although he tries to hide it.

You know, that makes a lot of sense. I haven't thought about that before, but he does seem to understand, even if he doesn't speak it.

Human No More 03-27-2011 10:35 AM

Definitely - that would also mean that most of the Na'vi even who didn't go may at least understand a few words or sentences. Eytukan deciding against speaking it would make sense for him, but he still seemed to be listening when Jake spoke in English.

Banefull 03-29-2011 07:18 AM

I am not so sure that Eytukan could speak English. He probably sent Neytiri and Tsu'tey to the school to learn for the sake of knowing more about the skypeople. Eytukan himself was probably too preoccupied with other matters to spend so much time studying another language (maybe he knew a few basic words perhaps). As for Mo'at, I would imagine that she wasn't a full time student but did visit occasionally time permitting.

Human No More 03-30-2011 03:24 AM

Eytukan was talking to the others when Jake was explaining who he was in English, without anyone having visibly translated for him (and again before the marines attack Hometree), so I would say he understands English, just chose not to speak it.
