Na'vis using the bathroom
 

Now, I'm probably gonna regret asking this but has anyone ever wondered how the Na'vi use the bathroom(poopie, tinkle)? If they mate with their queues, than I'd guessed they didn't have penises or ****oruses,:S so how would they urinate. The same I guess can be for anus:pooping.

They still have their 'parts' the Tsaheylu is more of an emotional connection, linking of the minds per say. The physical part mating is still there, with both genders having their own role, males provide sperm, females carry the baby. It's similar to humans and the word is that their 'parts' are similar to humans. But that is just the word. Nothing has been shown to be official.

Thank you FoW, that's what I had always believed, that Tsahaylu was just a sort of "is he/she the one" connection, then they do the dirty.

Yeah. Tsaheylu is just one of those connections of emotions, plus it'll probably give you a rush of a feeling. So mating while procreating probably feels like twice the awesome of regular intercourse humans have. Like, double-orgasm, maybe.

But, really, in the scenes where Jake is trained by Neytiri to become a clan member, we see them both reading the tracks at the water-hole with Jake, telling in voice-over to the video log:

A few scenes later, we see them in the forest, and Neytiri suddenly hunkers down, averts her face, and Jake turns away from her, sniffs the air and wrinkles his nose as if he smelled something bad...

Neytiri's posture in that scene looks very much like what girls do outdoors when they have to take a leak... well, since the training is all about the circle of life and flow of energy, why not also depict something natural and mundane like that? Of course, if that is what that short scene shows, it somehow takes away all that glamour of our heroes, knowing that even our greatest role-models do some things like we do.

I am definitely going to closely watch that particular little shot, when going to the movies today, to watch the SE the third time (6 hours from now and counting). It would really give the "tiniest scents and sounds" line a whole new and quite funny meaning if it turns out to be true...

And, we do know that pain causes a feedback loop to and from recipients, so pleasure would probably be the same. So...

Anyway, what FoW said is pretty much it - they still have sex and still urinate, just like us.

I will say this: if you're an avatar driver and your tail sticks through a hole in your shorts or trousers, taking said shorts or trousers down and putting them on again afterwards is not a quick and easy matter. Believe me...

There's probably a button that you unbutton or something back there.

That would make the most sense, having it go vertically to the top and just able to be undone.

As for the biological part... as said above, tsaheylu is just the connection of minds (which must be amazing during sex... pleasure feedback loop :D ), biological functions are accomplished the same way as in other species.

Well, reading the title the first image coming up in my mind was from the scene when Jake and Neytiri are in the Hometree at night and go to the gathering, Jake is doing... something... :awesome: I remember that each time I watched AVATAR at the theatre, people were laughing at this scene, ROFLing like... :D

Hmm, dunno what to say, I don't think it would be useful for them using toilets. Guess that it is uncomfortable for them to do that...
