Well, I’m here as well.

I logged on Thursday the 11th on AF during the infamous software upgrade, and tried to forge on despite the unstable interface, broken links and other malfunctions. Then I came down with the flu and went to bed, where I essentially stayed for the next three days.

Went back to AF on Monday the 15th, and found out the world had been torn asunder. My beloved Avatar Forums looked like Alice in Wonderland had taken over, or someone had been partaking of some strong pharmaceuticals or else some illicit hallucinogenic substances.

It seemed I’d missed some disastrous catastrophe, and all that was left was a bleak landscape, like the machine world from the Matrix. The Avatar Forums looked like a ghost town, or a major city after a particularly vicious zombie plague.

A friend kindly informed me on what had transpired on AF, and where most of the exiles had moved to. So, here I am.

I must say, ‘Tree of Souls’ is an inspired choice, and very appropriate under the circumstances. It really feels like going home, the home we should never have lost.

I don’t know how many others are planning to do this, but I will try to participate on both sites for a while, until I determine whether or not such an effort is worthwhile. In the end, I will go where my friends are.

Welcome to our beloved home and community (or I like to call it my second family) butyea at first I was appauled someone asked me to join ToS... I thought "leave the AF?" but once I saw the love this place had and it's actual purpose, I couldn't hold back

Seems like we all made the choice to move for similar reasons.
For me, the forum change was the last nail on the AF coffin.

I’m really glad to have you over here Stanley_9875. I would have missed your insightful contributions and your inexhaustible enthusiasm! :)

I know just how you feel; it felt pretty strange to create the same user I had on AF on a new site that looks just like the old one used to. It’s also difficult to leave behind so many fine posts and many good experiences.

But you’re right, once you see what ToS looks like and especially what it feels like, it wasn’t such a difficult choice to make.

I'll join in the chorus of people who are saying how glad they are to see you here. And I agree with you that there's no need to limit oneself to one forum or the other. I'm currently participating in both, but as you said, will go where my friends are. :)
