Here's something for you all to try out! We have been preparing is a survey to gauge what people would like to do in terms of 'clan' activities etc so arrangements can be made in good time.

You see, although we have all been pulling together and contributing ideas and suggestions, it was thought that the best way to capture people’s thoughts for our meet up was to ask by doing a poll. Hopefully, at least then we will have a better chance of making sure everyone gets to voice their thoughts so we at least get a consensus of what people would like to do.

As you will hopefully be aware there are two meet-ups planned; one for 4th June and another one for 9th July. Consequently there are two surveys. All you have to do is click on the link below relating to the meet up you would like to/are going to attend and away you go!

Hi Alan ~ thank you for your kind introduction ...and thanks to everyone for your warm welcome. Everything I have heard about Tree of Souls is true ... I have found you to be extremely friendly, thoughtful, creative, generous with your time, and passionate about everything Avatar. What a wonderful community this is!

We are planning to get some of the foundation for the First Avatar Convention and Expo (FACE) solidly in place during our meetup in Seattle. We are hoping to have some round table discussions/brainstorming sessions while we are there ... it will be the perfect opportunity to bounce thoughts around. I am sincerely looking forward to meeting all of you.

So far we have had 4 response for the 4th June meet up and 5 responses for the 9th July meet up. Irayo to everyone who has completed the survey so far. The survey will be open for a while, but I will post updats periodically.

One thing that sprung to mind was T-Shirts? Miss Tammie posted quite a few pages back about getting some Na'vi Blueskins T-Shirts. I can't remember were we got to with this.... I have a few Avatar T-shirts, which I will be bringing along.

oh yeah!! Well I think it is a brilliant idea!!! Here is why:
The football team in Washington (Seattle) is the Washington Redskins. The shirt which has "pandora blueskins" is based off of that. So perfect. Or we could create our own shirt design for the meet-up...or get the ToS shirts talked about in the "feedback" section. either way, but I think shirts are a GREAT idea. :D

Hi again Alan ~ I had posted a message to Eltu this morning, asking about the availability of Tree of Souls t-shirts with the beautiful ToS logo on them. Wouldn't it be awesome to have those for our Seattle trip? Instant recoconition! Is this something that has already been done? If not, do you think this would be a possibility?

I don't know how far it got with having a forum T-Shirt design geting printed. Maybe someone else might know. I have a couple of AF ones from quite a while back that someone over there organised.

I think there are a couple of options: Screen Printed - certainly more longer lasting, but limitied on colours and you have to pay for each colour, which gives a high set up cost meaning you need a minimum order of 30 T-Shirst or somot...I think.

The other option is like inkjet printing. You certainly get far more colours, but it usually has to be on white T-Shirts to get...errr...white! Although they can quite happily be washed and stuff, they do fade over time I think. Although minimum orders are lower from my understanding

It we were to get a shed load of us turn up it might work out ecconomical. Failing all that, the Avatar Blueskins T-Shirt suggested by Miss Tammie would be the better option I think as they are neutral to what forum people belong to and kinda makes us all one clan, which is what we are really.

Well that's my two pennuff...thoughts anyone?

Me again! :rolleyes: On the subject of forum shirts, Eltu said that they are working on a way to sell them and that he will let me know when they have arrived at a solution. I scrolled through this thread and saw the Pandoran Blueskins shirts that Misstammie located(?) created(?) and they are very clever ... the black sample one shown is really cool. I would like to have both a forum shirt and a blueskins shirt. I'm planning my wardrobe already. :)

My Blueskins shirt is already ordered. :)

Just to clarify, the Redskins are actually based in Washington D.C. And Seattle does have a football team, the Seahawks. I don't mean to burst your bubble, Aketuan, but I would rather you find out now instead of in Seattle. :embarrassed:
Football fans have been known to become violent. :P

As for the Palisade reservations, I called and the manager should be getting back to me within the next day or so. When I hear something back, I will post it ASAP. :)

If I could mate!!! life being what it is & available time off :( It is not to be.......Still we shall be going there which is a very good thing & one that I think many would give a good right arm to just go...

And about the shirts, I think any of the designs brought up would be great, it is a matter of what everyone wants and which one's are easier. Oh and I much rather prefer screen-printed shirts to inkjet...definitely.

I have a local company here that does amazing deals for me on t-shirts since I often design shirts for school and such. There is no set amount you have to buy and I believe for 2 colors front and back design comes to about $10 a shirt if we order around 10-15 of them...just an idea in case we want to do ToS shirts or our own. The blueskins one is great too though, and less hassle.

:D That's ok. Nobody really pays much attention to the Seahawks. ;)

On the shirts: I like the Blueskins idea. I don't know what the lead-time is on getting those made and handed out, but we probably don't have a lot of time left. Another poll, perhaps?

Hey Drewin, if you can't make 4th June Seattle Meet-Up, there is also one being planned for 9th July. I think there are a few folks going from the LearnNa'vi forum, but the same discount applies at the Travelodge there. Just mention the date and Avatar Fan Communities by either emailing or ringing them up. Hope that helps.

I think those Blueskin shirts are great. If we all agree on them, then I say we order them somewhat soon to get them in time.
