Well, I FINALLY made it down to the Exhibit last night shortly before closing, and WOW! What a great time! :D A very nice spread of production artifacts and interactive pieces. I wore my ToS name tag, but unfortunately it went unnoticed. :'( Maybe next month when the LearnNavi clan lands!

I spent some time looking over the virtual cameras. Hmmm... project ideas galore! Too many people doing the MoCap--yes, happily, the place was pretty busy!--so I didn't do that one. Something for next time!

Out of all of it, I have to say that the AMP suit was what impressed me the most! What an amazing piece of work. Having looked at some other set pieces that have been on display down at SFM, I've gotten used to disappointment. Lots of these kinds of things just don't stand up to close inspection. Well... the AMP suit looked *absolutely* real, as if it were really made out of inch-thick steel. :shock: At the meeting, I was joking with some fellow ToS-ers about a friend I have who is an "R2D2 Builder" (one of a group of Star Wars fanatics who loves to build droids). Well! I can imagine more than a few people being inspired to build AMP suits after seeing this awesome creation. Hmmm... maybe a AMP *costume*! Boy, that would be really neat!

Anyway... Exhibit is awesome. I look forward to my next chance to visit! :)
