I still think it's pretty incredible. All of it. A year ago we didn't know that the others existed. Now we can't wait to meet - *again* for the most on this thread, *finally for real* for me & some others. What happened??? We know... Avatar happened. It was like some force of nature that changed everything, it rangs bells, made antennas go "twang", caused some mysterious reaction on subatomic level, opened eyes... & now we are ready to cross huge distances, find time, pay good money - only to See the family that, suddenly, is just about more "family" than any other... Just a month ago the Seattle meetup was about to start. You arrived from all different locations - & it was an instant "no doubt" feeling of "one's own people", "the click", "the bond", up to reading each others thoughts - one starts a phrase & the other finishes it. Just like that! Incredible. But true. Hey, we are living in times when many "weird" things are becoming "normal"... but I don't want to lose my ability to be awed! :D

A-Haa! You spotted my Avatar line I fitted in. I've put a fooo in that I'm sure you will have spotted. Just has to be done! As for the timing and stuff, it is just feel - if it feels right then it is. Believe me there were a lots of times when it didn't!

I love the last installment of your videos ma Alan! I can't get over how well you have pulled everything together. The editing, music and comments....Txantsan! I can't wait to get my own copy of this so I can continue to relive the amazing time we all shared as an Avatar family. I am looking forward to our next meet up in 2012 as I have many changes and plans on the horizon that I will be working on till then. Can't wait! :awesome:

I think even those of us who were there the extra day still wished we could have stayed longer, but then it gives us all the more reason to return - right ;)

Irayo so much for your compliments. I'm somewhat humbled by it all and they have certainly spurred me on to keep going. Hopefully this weekeend will see it 'polished off ready for burning to DVD for everyone.

Alan, I feel the same way I do when I finish watching a great movie or complete reading a good book ..... I am disappointed that it has ended. You have given all of us a priceless gift that will whet our appetite until we make new memories together next year. A thousand and one "Irayo"s to you, ma tsmukan. ;)

Ahhh, Ghaziya. Irayo ma tsmuke. Yeah I know, same for me as I get near the end of polishing it off and get it out to you all.

To trash a well know phrase to us: 'One journey ends, another begins'. Next weekend our tsmuke LearnNa'vi Clan will decend on Seattle and hopefully they will be able to keep us upto date with their adventure. After which we can really get into planning mode for the meet up next year. Hell Yeah! ...that reminds me I was going to put a survey together. I'll add it to the 'to do' list.

Not really. But it *is* cool to be in the top ten.

Oooo, really? Well I'll have to get you a tall back swivel chair and a white cat to stroke. Hehehe...oh and a mini-me.

Ok so only 505 more posts to get to 8th position. Well here's another post. Maybe we ought to not allow multi-quoting - hehehe ;)

Apache, ma tsmuke. You have summed it up so well. As I mentioned to you, I have not been able to figure out why I have been so affected by this film called Avatar. To a certain extend I'm not too bothered about why, only that I am so grateful that I have because it has given me the ride of my life.

It has litrally taken me places I never ever thought I would go or met such wonderful people from around the world. I feel so amazingly humbled by this experience and by each of you for sharing your friendship with me

Irayo ma aysmuke sì aysmukan. Oel ngati kameie.

Once again I find myself saying Irayo to you, Alan, for all the wonderful video work you've done. It's almost like being there in Seattle again! And I so love all the great narrating you did throughout -- it really enhanced the video footage even more. :)

Human No More 07-02-2011 02:22 AM

I need to watch all of the videos... I like that I've seen so far though :)

Can I get a copy as well?

Irayo ma tsmuke. I think I mentioned before, I don't normally do commentaries on any videos I make as I think I sound awful! But I just felt this needed one.

Alan, my friend!!!! 'Tis my turn to ask for a custom-burn memory :D As usual, I lurk 'round the edges--I have really liked what I have saw so far!!!!!!!

Alan 07-07-2011 08:52 PM

Phew! Just excuse me whilst I move the tumble weed from round here and blow the dust off....

*cough, cough!*

What's this? Doh! It's the stingbats, knocking the books off the shelf again.

Ok... That's better.

Where was I? Ah yes, just thought I would give folks an update on the Seattle video progress. Well it is now edited and I am just in the process of rendering it out in the various versions. (PAL, NTSC etc)

I know you will have probably seen the various parts that I posted as I got through it. However there is an extra bit that I have included which you will not have seen yet. Hopefully, you will like it when you see it on the DVD. I'm saying no more about it though...;) MOWHAHAHA....

*cough, cough*...Sorry I got carried away there.

Hopefully this weekend I will be burning them to DVD and I intend getting them in the post to folks the following weekend.

So if you would like a copy PM me or email me an address to send them to. It doesn't have to be your home address if you don't want, just an address so that it will get to you.

Well, our aysmuke sì aysmukan from LearnNa'vi are making their way to Seattle for this weekend's meet-up with Paul Frommer. If I hear anything I'll post a message.

Hope you are all keeping well. Take care my friends.

Eywa ngahu,

Alan

Aketuan 07-08-2011 05:11 AM

My mother got it me. I even managed to use it today as we are having the usual British summer - rain!:xD:
