One year.
 

EDIT: This thread is in reference to my experiences on AF, and with the people that have known me since I joined there just over a year ago. This thread has also been posted on the AF. Although, the general message, is for everyone. I have not be on here in quite a while, so if there is any tension or conflict between the two sites, I was not aware of so. I merely want to express how much the AF, and ToS has given me, although it seems like I am only referencing AF. The message is for everyone. Thank you, brothers, sisters.


It's been one whole year since I stumbled upon this forum. Albeit, back then it was just starting, and wasn't as grand as it is now. I'm ecstatic to see the growth of this place, of it's people.

I cannot even begin to describe what this place has done for me; spiritually, and mentally. I am a different person because of it, and I will be eternally grateful for it without fault.

I came here, my world rocked by AVATAR, unable to understand the feeling burning within me. It was consuming, and I had to speak out, to feel like I was not alone.

And you made sure I wasn't. I not only met people who felt the same, I met friends, brothers, sisters, who accepted my heart and I theirs. The reminiscence is overwhelming me right now, and there is much too much I could talk about.. But I've come to say one thing and I must stay focused.

Thank you. All of you. Even those who have never known me on here, I thank you. Thank you for all of you who took the time to read my threads, to reply, to discuss, to relate.

Without you.. Well, let's just say my hearts a little larger because of the love I met here.
Last year, you gave me everything. And I have not forgotten. You gave me guidance when I was lost, love when I felt hated, words when I was in silence. You gave me everything, and I hope to return the favor.

If there is one thing I want to say to all of you, it's this..

Feel your heart. Listen to it. Express it. I once said it beats to the rhythm of all that you are, and I don't believe I am mistaken. Never forget, that we are united under love, and that without that unity, my brothers and sisters, we would be nothing.

Love, with all that you are. With every stare, with every breath. Waste no time on hate or judgment, they will lead you no where but to a bitter life of resentment and lies.

Truth is Love. Love is Truth.
Remember the Truth, always.

I will do my very best to return here, as I know I've said before, but I've been swamped with endless realities such as school and work.

But I will always have time for you. You, who gave me everything.

I see you, my brothers and sisters. And I love you.

It's great to see you again man. I remember the post you made early last year back on AF (I don't remember the exact title) and how it perfectly reflected how I felt. It was the one where you explained how hugely Avatar had effected you and you linked that song by 30 Seconds to Mars. That song is so great and it reminds me of how significantly Avatar effected my life, yours, and many others.

That might be one of the two posts I've now got linked in my sig. :P

Yeah...great to see something from you again ProfoundHeart, even though I can't count myself as one of the people who replied, discussed, and related a year ago as you mentioned. That was before I ever joined an Avatar forum. Even so...oel ngati kameie.

That peak emotional experience I got from seeing Avatar the first few times has not returned in such intensity since... but that is the way of things: it was a signpost, it did its job.

But nothing gets me closer to it than reading posts and threads like these. Oel ngati kameie, all.
